Have you all seen the review of this bike in Cycle World? I was reading this and my mouth dropped! The bike is supposed to be a street legal MotoGP bike. It costs $184,000, yes not $18,400. There will only be 250 made world wide. But then I read that is only has 100 HP. What?!?!?!?!? Honda claims that the purpose of the bike was to show the public what MotoGP handling is like so there was no need for HP. What???? There is $13,000 race kit that brings the engine up to a sort of respectable 212 Hp, but they aren't selling the kit to the public????!!! OOk so I have seen it all now. Basically this bike is made for Jay Leno's garage because how can you enjoy 100 frickin HP?

    Just absolutely crazy.

If you got the money for the bike I'm sure acquiring the race kit would be no problem.

In the US market, the Honda RC213V-S will be tuned for 101hp at 8,000 rpm (66 lbs•ft of torque) — a figure the bike will be stuck at, since the sport kit is not available to the US market.
In Europe and Australia, the RC213V-S will make a still disappointing 157hp at the 11,000 rpm-spinning crank, but with the sports kit installed, that figure will get bumped to over 210hp at 13,000 rpm. Peak torque is set at 75 lbs•ft at 10,500 rpm, with the sports kit lifting that figure to over 87 lbs•ft."

    Good video here.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I was a millionaire (and put a superhero movie theme paint job a fat tire kit and some spiky bolts on it ). ;)

    cheers

I've heard so many journalists say This is the best bike on the planet then ride it in a comparison test and it comes in 3rd (Ducati 1199). Assuming all bikes handle decently, there is no better catchup strategy than a big fat motor! Lol!
