I have now made up my mind to go with the new Yoshi silencer for my K8.
However I am now undecided whether or not to go with slip ons or the full system with a single silencer.
The reason for my in decision is that I was informed that fitting full systems on some bikes causes them to loose some mid range torque.
The mid range grunt is one of the best features of the Busa imho.
Any tech guys with any advice ? please

You will gain everywhere with a full system. relatively to you your gains you may gain less in the mid range but you will not loose torque.

Thanks that is good news, btw I will be fitting a PC111 and having a custom map done on a dyno.
What are your thoughts about the gasses only going through one silencer on a full system as apposed to two silencers on existing headers? Does this equate to less volume? What I mean by that is...I was always taught the faster you get the fuel/air mixture in and the faster you get the gasses out, the more power you produce. I cannot quite see how a single silencer can get rid of the gasses as efficiently as two. I must be missing the point somewhere:head meets wall: can you explain in a bit more detail cos I'm not quite understanding the full theory.
Sorry for sounding a bit thickhttp://www.busanation.com/forum/images/icons/icon11.gif

Aftermarket headers are more free flowing then the stock headers. The actual pipes are bigger in diameter. Also the 2 stock mufflers have baffle chambers inside which cause alot of restriction which is why you get so much less sound, the single straight through exhaust has a bigger diameter and well and no walls to block the exhaust fumes. The entire system breathes much easier due to the bigger diameter pipe and no walls. Even though you're pushing through a single pipe, it stil;l flows quicker.
The only reason they put 2 pipes on the busa as well as the k7-k8 gsxr 1000 is that they need to move alot of volume but they can't do so without busting emission/decibel laws to to help move more volume with less noise they move it through 2 pipes. If they tried to move it through 1 pipe they would need to detune the bike much more making it less appealing to the market.
