Galfer Brake System Group Buy - February 11-25, 2008

All makes, all models, all years, regardless of manufacturer!

http://www.heavybus.com/k8/brake_gb

This Group Buy will be an all-Galfer affair. Wave Rotors, Stainless Steel Brake and Clutch Lines, and HH Brake Pads.

You will be STUNNED at these INSANELY LOW PRICES!!!!!!!!!

UNDERSTANDING This Group Buy Methodology:
* These prices are so low, they CAN NOT be made public. NEITHER will I disclose the vendor until the Group Buy Signup period is over on Feb 25th.

* To obtain a copy of the price sheet and access to the actual GB sign-up form, enter your name and email address in a form residing on a web page (above link). Your unique, personal Group Buy Signup code and a link to the formal GB sign-up page will be emailed to the address you provide. Use any spam-collector email address you want, but you need to have access to it (obviously) to get your code.

* Surf to the Group Buy Signup link provided in the confirmation email you will receive. There you will log on by entering your unique Group Buy Signup code and then see the AWESOME Group Buy prices that come up on the resulting page. If the prices are attractive to you, use the form on that price list page to provide your bike info, the city and state the items will be shipped to, and of course, indicate the Galfer goodies you desire. That's it. The system will then email you a final confirmation message listing the hardware you selected.

* At the end of the two week sign-up period (Feb 25th), the system will send you the vendor contact info, whereupon you contact the vendor and make the transaction like any other transaction. DO NOTE the prices can't be honored without providing the Group Buy Confirmation number!

* This Galfer Group Buy is open to all makes and models of bikes, not just the Busa. Have a different bike you want to get stainless steel brake lines for? No problem... sign up that bike, too! Note that ABS brake line kits are not a part of this Group Buy effort.

All of these safeguards may sound a little elaborate, but they are there to protect both the buyer and the vendor from abuse, whether that abuse comes from other forum members, other online dealers, or online distributors.

Sorry for the daft question but other than great looks, do these improve the braking efficiency at all?

Not to be misleading, there is nothing wrong with the GenII radial mounted brakes:thumbs up: having said that:

The Galfer set-up , you will see a significantly effective braking improvement, Warchild since he has already upgraded to the Galfer set-up on his K8 would be a better person to explain the difference. the rotors are lighter and disapate heat quicker.-Duane

As the Group buy mentions above:

All makes, all models, all years, regardless of manufacturer!

If Galfer makes brake goodies for your ride, be it any model year Busa or any other bike, then you can get the goods through this Group Buy.

Sole exception: bikes that have ABS systems brake line kits are not part of this group buy. Which is probably not a big deal to most of the BN membership base..... :oh yeah:

Re: Canada and other overseas customers; YES, you can participate in this Group Buy, but do note that shipping and any import duty taxes may take some of the gloss off of the savings. Still, these prices are pretty unbelievable - especially the Wave Rotors - so this may still make it well worth the effort..

We have over 140 signups to "view pricing" already... in less than 24 hours. :thumbs up:

So does going thru the signup portion which allows you
to see the price commit you to buy or is the signup just to
show you the price and if you are interested you can jump
on it?

Thanks
JOe

PS the page wouldn't load for me.... will try again later..

Yes Joe, you do not have to commit through the 1st stage of the sign-up to see the price list, you register, a confirmation email will be sent to you with a code, that email has a link to where you enter your confirmation code, that will allow you access to the Product/Price list on all Galfer Products.

* we have to do it this way to protect the vendor and ourselves, our members for this promo:surprise:

This is the opening paragraph of the Group Buy signup page... I bolded in maroon the germane sentence:

"Welcome to the Group Buy for Galfer Brake System components! This Group Buy ends at midnight on Monday, February 25, 2008. Signing up for the Group Buy does not obligate you to participate, but failure to sign up and receive your Group Buy code in time will leave you out in the cold!"

PS the page wouldn't load for me.... will try again later..You do need to have the Flash Player plug-in (v8 or later) in order for the Signup form to render properly. About 97% of all browser on the Web have this plug-in installed already.

Apparently most folks aren't having an issue with the page loading, as I see in the database we have about 205 Signups as of this morning.... :smoke:

Well.... just tried it again and it worked... I am pretty much up to date on all the plug-in's so it must've been busy or something...

To avoid ordering bottlenecks, the first 50 signups should have received an email with Group Buy Ordering instructions by now. You are free to begin ordering their line kits/rotors/etc.

If you signed up for the GB in the first few days of this GB and haven't received GB ordering instructions by now, shoot me a PM....

43 Rear Brake Line kits
40 Clutch Line kits
