This is never good to read. Isn't 04' the first year for the Titan, which would maybe explain any issues? I've never owned one myself, but was liking the style.. have heard others complain about them, but never paid it much mind. Sorry to hear you don't like it.

1997 ford taurus. I bought it 2 years ago off a little old lady who bought it new and had only put 47000km (29000miles) on it in 9 years. I've almost put the same amount in 2 lol

My next car will most likely be the subaru impreza wrz. I'm fed up of driving used cars!

Yes 04 is the first year they Made them and I knew buying a first year of anything was a risk. I expected some problems and bought their best extended warranty. What I did not expect how OPPOSITIONAL the service culture of Nissan is. While it is a long list one of the most telling incidents occurred when, the 4 wheel drive failed in late November of 06. I was initially told that I had lost a solenoid that controls the 4 wheel drive and that it would take a week to get one but that it was ok to drive the truck. I brought it home and parked it. After a week I brought it back and then received a call that when the replaced the solenoid the tech had spotted a leak and discovered that the Axles were pulling away from the pumpkin. and that the Passengers side had was all but out. Also that it would be 4 to 6 weeks before a part could be had and they didn't believe it was covered under the warranty. After speaking repeatedly to the Dealer I was given Nissan of Americas office number and for the next 2 weeks climbed the service chain. Each time using the polite but assertive model of escalation. It was not until after 2 calls to Japan did they agree that it was a covered item and the part arrived after only 4 weeks and took another 2 days for the installation. (the truck had 27k miles at the time) Other annoying little thing like after purchasing it March O4 it failed inspection in November 04 because after only 8k miles it had worn out a set of tires. (this only took a week worth of phone calls for them to decide it was covered under the warranty) It has had 2 cracked exhaust manifolds 1 under warranty and 1 on my dime along with countless other things. That said when it is running it is one of the most comfortable trucks I have ever been in, has plenty of towing power . The other thing influencing my opinion is that I traded a Hyundai Santa Fe (01 the first year they made them) and the fact that the Hyundai service Culture is so Superior to everything else I have owned before or since has left me thinking on multiple occasion "how come the Korean company that sold me a $19 economy SUV has so much better quality and service than the Japanese company that sold me a $38k luxury pickup?"

I also have a 89 Mustang LX 5.0 but she is out of commision at the moment and needs much TLC, I bought the BUSA instead of fixing her up.
