Ok I've been looking into fabing up my own turbo kit for my 2005 busa I'm not looking for the extreme just want to see what I can get out of a stock engine. here is what I grasp sofar.
1. I need to use a smaller mitsubishi turbo or even a t3/t4.
2. I would prohobally prefer a internal wastegate,
3. when making my header I should keep it as short as possible to get the turbos shaft above the bikes oil level to avoid oil issues.
4. When making my intake plenum the apropriate size should be about 1.5 times that of the displacement
5. I don't need my oil cooler
Now the questions
1. How much can I boost a stock engine?
2. What about the fuel system do I need to upgrade it?
3. How to keep it from taking in water?
Any advice about this would be helpfull.. but no I willnot decide to buy a kit. I like to make things with my own skills and fabrication.
