I am planning on doing my first break in oil change this weekend. I am wondering if anyone had a cross reference for the stock Suzuki oil filter to a common brand found at Autozone, etc.?
Thanks in advance.

Well, I went and purchased the OEM filter and some honda oil. I might take the old filter to the store next time to see if it crosses to anything else.
Certainly not a cost issue, just curious if I had a choice or not.
65 miles on the Busa, I'm looking forward to the bodywork removal and oil change....and then a long ride tomorrow, weather looks great!

Well, I did the oil and filter change today. I must say, out of 28 previous bikes I've owned, this by far was the most PITA body work removal I've ever encountered!
I actually broke the middle push pin trying to remove the darn thing. I pulled it straight out toward me, instead of straight up. I would've never guessed it had to go upwards. Anyway, no real loss. The fairing is not going anywhere as it seems just as tight remounted without the pin in place.
BTW- you break these pins (the ones on the bodywork) and you either have to plastic weld them back on, or buy bodywork.
The rest of the oil and filter change went well, as did the reinstallation of the fairings. I added some silicone spray to the gromets and places panels overlapped.
The total for the oil and filter was $21.00 from the dealer. I doubt I'll even bother shopping for a different filter. Sport Cycles in Rockingham, NC has treated me especially well. Out the door tax, tags, and all fees I picked up my K8 for $11,050.
I did take it for a quick spin after the oil change......this bike is just wicked fast.

One thing that our garages do have in common... we both have to move the bike to get to the weight set. :oh yeah: See pic below..

Man, that garage isn't bad. I've seen much worse.
Gotta love the weights, I've been dedicated for about 14 yrs. now. I also mt. bike and road cycle to offset the beer and food effect. (rd. bike is hanging on the wall in the pic)
A keen eye might also notice the photos above the rd. bike....same leathers that are hanging in the corner.
I used to do track days with nesba, then I raced with ccs and wera a few yrs back....I eventually gave it up after seeing too many people get hurt.
It was great fun though.
Cheers,
-Dan
