My K8 came with Bridgestone 015's fitted, is this standard for all countries?

They also came fitted on my K7 gixer thou but it ate them. Just wondering how they are fairing up on the Busa. I understand that they have thrown in a few extra plies for the Busa.

I am still running the K8 in so cannot comment on wear yet.

With my old 01 Busa I ran Avon Azaros as the original Bridgestone rears would only last about a 1000 miles:head meets wall:.

The 015 is a very soft tyre so I am not expecting great tyre life, any suggestions on an alternative that will still give good grip but last a couple of thousand miles on the Busa?

The spell checker is getting cross with the way I am spelling Tyre:rofl:. Tire tyre tyyer tierr oh I see it seems to like tire. The freakin spell checker can't spell:umm:http://www.busanation.com/forum/images/icons/icon10.gif

I've got BT015's on my UK K8 Busa - ok I'm still running in and I'm riding on Shitty wet UK roads I've had absolutely no traction problems at all.
I did put Michelin Pilot Sports on my K5 Busa and got @ 3000 miles from them - I got within a quarter inch of the tyre edge too :thumbs up:

I have a BT021 on my Gen II and a BT015 on the front which seems to work well. The rear has hardly worn at all but the softer front now needs replacing. Anyone running a BT016 upfront? If so, how do you find it?

I run BT-016 on my bike and love them

Does anyone run a BT021 with a BT016 though? I've found one quite cheap but the tyre seller thinks it might alter the handling on the bike for the worst. What's your thought? Either that or does anyone run a set of BT021s? Be interested to know how the front tyre rates in the 021 series?

I have 8000kms on my rear 015, which is a record for me. The longest I have ever had any tire last before was 5000kms.
I do find the 015s are hard, and will spin up pretty easy coming out of corners, and if there was no slipper clutch, I could see them spinning up easily in a straight line.

I got a free 021 that I am going to try, but I imagine it will only spin easier than the 015.

I will be buying the 016s next spring for the next riding season.

I got just over 4000 miles from my 015's, 1st quote to replace was £158 fitted to a loose wheel.

I replaced both 015's on mine at 6000 miles but the rear should have been replaced sooner. I now ride on 016's and at first I thought I had low tire pressure driving over rough pavement. These tires are fine, I can't say anything bad about them. I have not had surprises from either series and I use them to the limit. Bridgestone appears to have done its homework. Cheers!
