View Full Version : Boost from the get go???

Hey guys,

Just wondering your thoughts on turbocharging a new Busa with 0kms on it. Reason I ask, is I did this on my Yamaha Apex Mountain and have had 0 issues and the thing pulls like a monster. What do you guys think??

I've been told after break-in, but what would it matter if you followed a break-in regime.

As far as warranty goes; my local dealer isn't bothered by add-ons that are properly installed.

If your worried about it just have it broken in on the dyno first ,,then install your turbo kit,,just make sure you have it tuned by someone who tunes turbos and knows what they are doing,,It would suck to melt down a new bike,,,

Good point, and you may want to do some internals if you're thinking 300 because it's never enough :oh yeah:

Been there done that, i gotta a couple of photo's up on the forum of the bike in question, I took a brand spanking new K8 and put a turbo on... It blew up after 600kms, but to be honest it wasnt the bike but the asshole engine builder who did the first mod, after which it was rebuilt and never again have i had a problem, I put this to the second builder who could actually build a turbo bike, ive just take a new k10 outta the box and we building a 500hp monster road bike, she has 0kms on her.... Good luck anyway...
