In my owners manual the drive chain is shown as RK GB50GSV Z4, 114 links. I have a Gen II 2008. When doing a search on the internet I find 118 links and 114 links mentioned. How many links does the Gen II chain have and is there a reason for the difference ? Was there a change ? Is one of them for the B-King and the other for the Busa ?

I believe the change in chain size was due to the change in sprokets from the Gen I to the Gen II

A T.R.E. is a Timing Retard Eliminator. Stock Busa's 02 and later electronically retard the timing in the first 4 gears to keep speeds down. A T.R.E. eliminates this giving you more power and acceleration. It also eliminates the 186 mph limiter on those model year bikes. I bought mine on ebay for less than 100 bucks and now the front wheel comes up without really trying!

Hope this helps!!

This is about chains, but the 99 and 2000 models were unrestricted. All models after that were restricted. ECU editing is a much better route.
