I've been doing a bit of research on what exhaust I fancy for my genII,when
I get her.I have a few questions.I have decided in a Yoshi.
1. Is there any physical differences between the trc/trs or the R series
of exhaust apart from outside appearance. Are the internals different?
If it is different, what's best for what job?
2. I love the look of two cans on the bike,is there a really good reason
to get a 4-2-1,I know it's lighter.
3. Where is the cats located on the GenII?

Hi, I only got the TRC slip ons because I was on a tight budget and couldn't wait and I wasn't bothered about any performance gain from a 4-2-1. I would also have had to buy a Power Commander too - total cost on top of the TRC's would've been an extra £400 + PC setup time another £100

The K8 is plenty fast enough for me standard and I love the look of the 2 Yoshi's - and it only took half an hour to fit them... :thumbs up:

Would you need a pcIII mate if you were to take the
baffles out?

If you're on a budget , then you do not need a pcIII, even with a full exhaust, cause the busa 08 is very "fat" from the factory. Unless you want to fine tune the bike for a couple extra hp's

Only of you are interested in getting the most power that can be had from a full system (which, I suppose, most folks do).

You can, however, run the bike without a PC-III if desired, whether the dB killer baffle is installed or removed.

With the baffle removed, you may experience a bit of "popping" during decelerations. I have not had this on my 4-2-1 Yoshimura R-77 system, but I am leaving my baffle insert installed. There have been reports of this deceleration "popping" from others with this same set-up, who have removed the baffle.

Cheers for that mate, surely deceleration poping is a reason
to take the thing out.Just think of all those car alarms you could
set off. :thumbs up:

thanks for the welcome

did you already try to block off the tube (genII:going to the reedvalves (top of the engine))? normally, this will delete the decelpops.(worked on busa gen I (block of tube from the airbox(right side)) and my gsxr 1000K6)
