I did the Limewire.com thing for a few years .....ruined 2 computers in the process with assorted virus/trojans. It seems that Napster has a deal for $14.95 a month with unlimited music downloads .....which most sites charge .99 for each song, so Napster seems like a deal. What sites do you guys use for Mp3 downloads??

Ive been downloading from the newsgroups (also called "usenet") for years now-and find anything from full length movies to software to music ect. Don't know if you're familiar with it-been around for a while-and there's a slight learning curve-but well worth it. I use "Giganews" for a server and give them 12.99 for 35 gigs of DL a month. It's not a "peer to peer" thing-so you aren't dealing with variable DL speeds and opening up your system to anyone in the world-tho anytime you start "sharing" copy writed stuff there is the poss. of shady characters.
In short-it is a WW group posting builiten board that is server based-good luck

mirc for music. sometimes bittorrent for music, especially full discography's. bitttorrent for movies & programs.... everyone has their own preferences i suppose. its been over 2 years prob since i ended up with spyware/viruses so i really tend to lean towards my way being the best way. i don't even run anti-virus of any kind at all anymore. i personally think antivirus programs are bs. i always seem to end up with more viruses back when i did use antivirus. oh, and stay away from the pron stuff :bananahump:and you should be alright. :thumbs up:
