It is incredible how much more leverage you have and how much more comfortable the bike is but you all knew that already, LOL.
Before when doing a u-turn the front felt like like the tread was digging into the pavement and it was kind of difficult and now it feels completely normal. :thumbs up:

It is like day and night. I waited 2 months and had to installed mine. When I first got my bike I thought my front tire was low because low speed maneuvers were not as easy as other bikes I've ridden. It is hard to believe that just moving the bars an inch and a half and changing the angle slightly can lighten the effort so much. I am definitely happy! :oh yeah:

Hey Josh,
Unless you're real careful removing the stock rubber bar grips, you'll have to replace them. You'll need to remove the choke assembly and re-route it under the front fastening plate on the gas tank.

It's pretty straight forward. You'll have to loosen (and leave semi-loose) the zip tie holding the wire loom on the left side of the headset and pull the loom a little to give it play and I removed the little guide on the right side of the headset holding the throttle cables. You have to create slack in the throttle cable and wire loom or it will pull on the cables and wire loom when you do slow turns.
Once I got the left grip off the old bar I sprayed some 3m adhesive on the new left bar. I did have to roll the end of the hand-grip back and spray a little more adhesive because installing the grip basically pushed all the glue up the bar and left the end dry.

Josh has a GEN2 no choke cable worries.
I removed my grip with a thin screw driver and twisted comes off easy and reinstalled on my heli bar.

+1
A shot of brake cleaner under the grip while the screwdriver is up there will pop it off even eaiser.
cheers

The Busanation is awesome, and this is what makes it such a great place... ...great advice from great guys.
I really appreciate it fellas. Hopefully I will get a chance to tackle it Tues or Wed if everything is here by then. I am going to have some help from a bud who has done a lot of work on his FJR grips, heated grips, BWM sport grips install ect. so I'm sure we'll figure it out. It's going to be a long night too, as we are changing both tires as well. Going with the Pilot Power 2CT's.
As soon as I get everything installed I will post up some pics.
P.S. I also ordered the Buell Pegs and am going to install them, I'm really looking forward to a more comfortable ride.
Thanks again Members Of the Tribe
