Can anyone tell me what has to be done to make an 04 motor work on an 00 bike?

On the 2004 bike the fuel pump is in the tank so what do I do about that?

i would guess get a new tank, but i'm no expert

I know I am way late on this but it is a simple switch, nothing needed when I had mine switched to an 06 motor.

if you're gonna spend the time to swap the motor, why not use a k8 or k9?

Will that motor fit in the bike, if soooo that should be a no brainer.
