shifting into second and it slips back into neutral!!!

hey guys i got an 05 busa with a electric pingel shifter, when im in first and get on it, ill short shift even to 8k, the bike will shift when i hit the upshifft button in to second, about a half a second later the bike will slip back into neutral. also if im at a red light the bike will be in nuetral and every so often it will slip into second what the heck any info will really help im goin crazy THANKS

Is that the cable operated shifter your using?If it is I would suggest making sure the cable is lubed and all your electrical connections are good,,Other than that disconnect the electrical shifter and make sure your tranny shifts properly without it,,
