i finally got my nhra licence and took the busa to the strip yesterday, it ran a 9.58 @ 146 mph... im pretty happy with the time , the air conditions were pretty bad but the track hooked up nice. I thinks shes running pretty good for just slipons and lowered a bit.

i didn't think things like that were a factor either till i joined this site. i thought you just went out there and ran it as hard as you could. that was until i started reading all the posts from the drag racers. you learn a lot just by reading everyone's posts.
congrats on getting your NHRA license justabusagirl!

9.58 is a great time for a stock swingarm bike. Trying to keep the front end down on a stock bike on a good track is a hand full. I'm impressed.

Good job I Wasnt trying 2 hate just that we get lot bikes my home track that come 2 test then they leave when races start.:umm:
I think mabe the dealay timer bikes put fear in them.
I raced no delay box from 02 till this year can still win.
A guy on a stock v-max put it on all us last year.It happens he was on that night.
i know what ya mean about guys just test and tune , i bracket race in the points class so i dont really ever get a chance to just go out and work on a real good pass.

You know I ran almost the same time 9.50 at 145 mph and I caught a lot of crap about my bike should be running in the 150 range. It was 95 degrees that day so the air sucked also. I have not had a chance to run on a cool day yet.
