Devil Trophy Slip-ons in Carbon Fibre Finish, came on bike when I bought it last year used.
Want to find some one that I can take them too and get the cans cut down by about 6 or 8 inches.

If you do a Wheelie you just might lose 6 to 8 inches of those pipes! :oh yeah: They are long!!! By the way, I like the seat and how is the comfort level???

_WOLFMAN_
01-12-2008, 08:29 PM
Seats ok but after long ride the piping on the sides of the seat irritate and dig in on the sides of my legs. Seat is really wide was thinking about just uncovering it and slim it down and get it recovered. Changed my mind and now actually looking for a stock seat so I can send it to Tobin because this is the seat that came on the bike and I did not get the original instead of modding the Corbin.

HMF full dual carbon...WAS high set up. shortend cans by 8 inch and the mid pipes where cut and reshaped, removing the collector section making it a true 4-2 dual set-up. Cut off the frame section that fingures down to bellywing. The system sounds very wicked like mix of turbo and a v-twin.
Sound clip found here:
http://www.putfile.com/bigrod1300
The pipe may look low in the pics, that becuase the air ride is off. When bike is up in ride height the have plenty of clearance. Rolling the big 330 tire, if the pipes hit the ground...so will the foot peg.:oh yeah:

KIXASS

I had that pipe on my 02 busa:not worthy: they say it is discontinued?

That's just my luck:crying:

Depending on how long ago it was discontinued, I wonder if there are any warehouses with some left?

How did it sound compared to the regular RS3? This is my 4th Busa and all my past ones (99',01',03') all had the Yosh RS3 race only duplex. I liked it, but told myself with this 05', I wanted to go with something different. I thought about Muzzy since I liked the sound and had it on my zx9r and 2-zx-7-r's, but I kind of always felt they were more of a Kawasaki pipe if you know what I mean. See in my mind I think the following pipes go with the following bikes....
Suzuki=YOSH
Honda=Two Bros
Kawasaki=MUZZY
Yamaha=Graves
I know that is far from the truth!! I wonder what the YOSH r-77 "BLING" system sounds like? I know I'm rambling on, but I think a good pipe is an important decision eeryone must make at sometime. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I ONLY want to spend my money once and spend it right the first time. One last thing.........with Suzuki spending millions on R&D, why did they go with a dual exhaust 4:2:2 system? If that decision was made though dyno testingand such, why do peopl get 10-15 HP increase and a substantial decrease in wejght by going with a 4:2:1 system?

SORRY my questions was off subject....he is a pic of my exhasut :rofl:

WOLFMAN.....I like that system. I found a dealer who said he would sell it to me for 4730.00 I thought that was a good price. How do you like t overall performance? fit and finish? ease of installation? Do you run a PC3usb with it?

What undertail do yo have? I like mine to look like that one.

_WOLFMAN_
06-08-2008, 09:09 PM
Sound and performance of the system is awsome. Yes running a PC3 USB, Pipercross Race Filter, 4 OEM Long Stacks instead of 2 short and 2 long, plus small airbox mod. But due to aize of pipes pipe are extremely close underneath where the wing meets the main body. All I did was use Cool Tape which reflects heat away

KIXASS
06-08-2008, 09:14 PM
WOLFMAN....what undertail is that on your bike?
Also, are you running a standerd map or dynotunned?
How much lighter over stock is ths system?

_WOLFMAN_
06-08-2008, 09:57 PM
Undertail is a Catalyst Composites makes the undertail, My map that I have came from BigGeorge who had his bike dynotuned by GPW @ Hyperbike Performance Center. Not sure if I will get a custom map done but for now bike is running great. There is deffinately a weight saving but not sure by how much cause bike originally came with aftermarket slip-ons so never had the original cans.

BANDITKING....WOW:drool: You have helped me decide what pipe I want. I love the way that system flows with the lines of the Busa. THAT IS WHAT I WANT!!!!!!

Is the SUMO larger head pipes? If so, would they benefit a larger cc engine more so than stock? How was the seat of the pants performance gain? Were you able to do a before/after dyno run? How does it sound versus other systems you heard? Is it pretty light?

What undertail do you have?

Stenbusa

:surprise:

Yo, these are mad loud and sound really good. I pick up my '08 orange and black from the dealer this a.m. and I know I'm going to drop the stock pipes but can't make up mind which to get. I've been riding Yamaha racers for years (R6 and R1) and have always went with Yoshi cans but I want something really loud and I like the way the M4 sounds.

Throw away the cans....remove the mid-pipes from the header , cut off a few inches.....I've seen quite a few Gen I Busas like this....most of the Gen II guys just throw away the mid-pipe also and throw on a $20 slip-on chrome tip from any auto parts store. I wonder if the Gen II mid-pipe has a built in baffle like the Gen I does. I didn't cut into the baffle.....I wanted to leave some back pressure.

Sorry about the thread-jack here...but I am thrilled with my Busa cousin the B-King!

I have never ridden a cycle that hits as hard as this B-King from 0-120.

I put -1, +2 sprockets and Kong woke up!

Not a top end bike like the Busa but with lower gearing and the Busa heart...it is
a street monster!

Maybe i should have started a new thread, but since you all showed awesome exhausts. I wanted to ask you fella's and gal's what is the most deep growling system, you can get for a hayabusa its a 99 first edition so to speak. And it cant be over 103 Decibel since in my country its only allowed to 103 for my bike.

I am not interested in more power/torque in the, its more then enough for me at the moment just looking for the awesome sounds, it sounds alright the stock system. But compared to my friends Honda Blackbird XX 1100 turbo its sounds horrible.

I hope its alright to ask this here!

Nice exhaust.. Looks bad as hell. "WARputer"... loving your exhaust also what is it? Looks loud and obnoxious.. Something my DUCATI boys may need to hear. They get on me all the time about not being able to hear my bike so i would love to knock the paint off there bike for them. I am currently running D&D and they are great and they are loud, but not the deep throaty loud. Either way great exhaust fellas and nice bikes.
