thats what happens when you ride like that. there is a time and place for everything, that clearly wasn't the time.

First off, that was stupid and should not have been tried in the first place, its only a matter of time before you die riding like that. Second, it appears he jumped out there big balls and all and wasn't commited...he chickened out and tried to squeeze back in when he probably would have been fine with the line he was on if he just would have proceeded on around the car. These videos make for good "what not to do" riding lessons.

First off, that was really risky what he did. But that car he hit was turning right and came back left.

He is from Hungary. Here in Europe a continuos white line means you can not pass.

First off, that was really risky what he did. But that car he hit was turning right and came back left.

1.) Did not leave a safe distance between vehicles.
2.) violated the space of the other driver, it doesnt matter if its a car or motorcycle the area in your lane is yours until you have fully completed the lane change.
3.) did not signal to show intent( failing to signal ).
4.) illegal lane change
5.) passing on a non passing area ( straight line/ no passing )
6.) Speeding
7.) careless driving
8.) For fellow Ontarians " Stunting "

To sum it up, these where the violations

The "Risk", if I have to explain this after stating the above I'll FREAK!!

The "RISK" is the motorcycle driver!!!
I hope he did survive and if so I pray he learned his lesson for his/her future.
I dont mean to sound like an ass, but on my rides, stupidity = ZERO TOLENCE. We left safe, we come home safe, individual calculated risks are planned events and are layed out ahead of time in my rides.
Driving a motorcycle is inherently dangerous all we can do is reduce the risk.

Very lucky that when the bike went down it stayed in the center of the road because the white car after the red one had his/her name all over it...
I'm only guessing that the rider was nocked off the bike right after impact with the car and fell to the right...pretty lucky that he/she wasn't run over from behind...

That's what happens when one thinks he/she is invincible, reality will end up coming to bite you right in the azz...or worse.

In Canada you can pass on straight line as long as its safe.
And for the record I don't think what he did was in any way smart, gives us all a bad name.

Yeah, was watching the news few months back and had a segment that was talking about passing on solid lines. They were amazed to learn that in Canada a solid line is a suggestion to not pass. I don't know if it applies to double lines though?

With all due respect, roads are controlled by the province ( The Highway Traffic Act ) which is enforced Provincial Offenses Officier(s) ,Municapalities then add to local municipal by-laws inconjunction. There are Federal regulations which pertain to how the provinces go about by the use of standards and guidelines in laymans terns.
Its considered an illegal lane change because a single is not safe to pass.
A solid line at the left of your lane means it is unsafe to pass. ('A' should not pass.) From the Ontario's Drivers hand book. The MTO's creates the best practices on rules of the road and explains how to use them in the " Drivers Test" I believe a 70-75% is considered a pass of competentcy.
Thats why it important when being charged in an offense to ckeck the drivers handbook which explains not just the law, but the tolerences.

Yellow lines work as follows:
Broken yellow line means safe to pass if you have a clear lane
Solid yellow line means it is recommended you do not pass, as it is not considered safe to do so. It is not illegal to pass on a solid yellow, but you can get a careless/wreckless ticket if you are the cause of an accident while doing so.
Solid White line means it is NEVER legal to cross.(usually only painted on the side of the road)
