Guys I need help.. I can not figure out what the best tire is to put on my busa. I bough it last year around August and it had new battleax, but that did not do so hot. I found the ass end sliding around alot. I have had a GSXR1000-TL1000R-GSXR750 and now the Busa that I have always wanted. I have ripped this thing apart and made it my own and now I just can not settle on a tire. I keep leaning toward the PILOT POWER just because that is what I have always used. I am seriously looking into the SHINKO-005. Be brutal and honest because I dont want to slide around anymore. Not a great feeling of comfort there.

My k8 busa rear tire mich. Tire didn't last 1800 miles.it had great grip when road was hot,but not so good when wet or cool.so I went to a dunlop 200/50zr17 for more rubber on ground, but its the same as the mich. And takes longer to warm up.I was also thinking about the shinko.I hear good thing about them, but who's going to talk bad about the tires they have on there bike?

I would think the PP would have more stick than the shinkos.

By "slide around" do you mean the rear is spinning up on corner exit?

cheers

yes on exit the ass end slides. Not enough to stop me from hitting the next corner just as hard, but enough to let me know not to go any harder. Never had this problem any of my other bikes. I know there is alot more power, but damn if it doesnt move around in the corners. Thanks to the other guys on there reply I sure do appreciate the help. My other buddies all have TLR's and Ducati's so they just dont understand if you know what I mean.

I ran the Shinko last year....good stick but the mileage you get from them is horrible. I think I barely got 2,500 miles out of the rear.

Bridgestone BT-002 RS! You will not be disappointed. $270 for a set. 190-50 or 55 series are both great. Trackdays or street riding. Awesome. Nice fast warm-up and good mileage. Pilot powers will spin-up also.

I heard that about the Pilot Powers as well, but never had it happen with my TLR. Granted different kind of power. Thanks for the in-put.
