I just bought the 09 busa and am waiting on a Brocks full system to be shipped. Can or Should I ride the bike with just headers I can't stand those clunky stock cans? The bike just tripped a hundred miles.

Just busting your b@#ls--but seriously --just wait till you get your new exhaust and from what I hear--put some form of fuel box on it. I dont so much mind the stockers-but can understand why you do. They are big and heavy..and kind of gutless sounding--but compared to most of whats on the road hp wise...??
That being said---I like loud exhaust--but I like not attracting the wrong attention on this bike too. (Enjoy your Brocks....I like the black ones)

Do you lose any power when you go to a megaphone exhaust w/ no baffles :umm:

Im trying to make sure that it won't effect the break in period on the bike, Ive heard that it is ok and Ive heard that it is not ok. (which one ???)

I'm with you on the stock cans, hate 'em. I'm waiting for my Brock ceramic coated Alienheads. I'd recommend living with the stock exhause until the Brocks arrive. If nothing else, you'll really appreciate the sound of your new exhaust after you've suffered a little with the old!!:oh yeah:

My 08 came with a full Tsukigi system. No map just the stock controls. It runs great. The dealer installed it with 0 miles on it. No problem.

Break in period? I put on my hot bodies shorties after having put only 500 miles on mine. I've been driving it like I stole it since. Loud as hell and I love it! I say pull off the big bazookas and let it rip til the new exhaust arrives....Just sayin'.

Do not run your new bike with no muffler ! You can call any shop and they will tell you no way.with no muffler you have no back pressure and you can damage motor and void warrenty.the valves and rings will not seat properly and it will run rich becausa your ecu is set with having some amount of back pressure.also if you replace air filter with after market and change exhaust you must have a power comm. Or have your bike retuned as it will run rich do to the stock setting on your ecu. Hope this helps.

You can change to any exhaust.without a programmer, but if you also change to a aftermarket air filter you have to have some sort of programmer or have your bike retuned.
