Hi all, its been a little while, Busa turbo is back on the road, new pistons and rings amongst other things. Here's a question though, How do i run her in properly? I was on another thread on this site that suggests the hard run in! does this also apply to a bike with boost? Which way is best????

Nice to hear from you again buddy. The tune better be right otherwise im gonna put a broken engine up an engine builders, well you get the point:whistling: the new builder says he had to correct a lot of mistakes to put the bike right. Ive asked him for a list of the mod's and corrections so that i can post the results and get some expert opinions. I'll hopefully see you boys on the dark side of 200mph. If not im gonna buy a cruiser lol:umm: When you turbo a bike nobody tells you that you'll more than likely land up an addict for boost for life, but they also dont tell you that when and if it breaks, that you've been spoilt for so long, that what do you ride now???? Prehaps a stock superbike that'll do a 100k miles before she goes bang!!! Now where's the fun in that??? I may as well buy a scooter with trainer wheels:whistling:

please to all members who read this, this is just my 2 cents worth, please dont take offence. Im sure there are other members out there that understand what im saying regarding raw turbo power....Once savoured its over....:head meets wall:

Me personally, I would break it in like normal...no hard pulls, keep it out of high rpm's....thats just me though.

considering your motor is rebuilt its better to take it easy for the first 300-500km and then do an oil change and then u can start rippin on it a little harder. boost makes no difference to the motor as long as your tune is correct. and your internals are forged.
