Whenever I score a new bike, I like to wait until I ride at least 1000 miles before presenting a big long wordy Evaluation write-up. I've done this for the CBR1100XX Blackbird, the YZF-R1, the CBR929RR, and the FJR1300... some magazines have actually used some of my crap.

Has been slow-going on the K8, though... stupid-ass winter has *really* put a wrench in the works. I was bound and determines to "git her done" by the end of 2007... came up 118 miles shy as of Dec 31.... :head meets wall:

Today was not very much fun.... 29 degrees F, and threatening to snow or have freezing fog all day. Too bad - I've had the bike 6 weeks now; I'm riding anyway, dammit!

I bundled up so much, I looked like the Michelin Man sitting on the Busa... kickstand up, clutch out.... got 'er done! :smoke:

After I thaw out a couple days, I'll do the writeup. :thumbs up:

Warchild,
Same story in PA. First time in over 30 bikes I have had only 125 miles on a bike in two months, but it's been cold. Like you I come off of two FJRs, an 03 and an 06 with combined 45K miles. The Blackbird before them had 32K and since I liked it thought I'd try a Busa. We'll see.
Keep your good posts coming. I enjoyed them when the FJR was your main bike and look forward to the Busa ones.
