It's custom. He is a member of Hayabusa.org. I agree it looks very good.

All,
My '08 is originally the Blue/Gold paint scheme... Not being a lover of gold, I decided to make the bike fit me more and had the rims and all of the black to include the inner panels all painted Blue (Got the color code from the net!) and I ordered the Red Decals that were originally for the White/Sliver '08 and spent numerous hours cutting out the white from them and affixed them exactly like the original! So with that being said I call it the "Original Custom"! I am pleased that there is more interest here than I expected but I really have more to do then I will be asking for your honest opinions! I just had my custom exhaust made and the fairing screens installed(RED)! I will take lots more pics and post them either here or on bikepics.com... so be sure to check them both to see what the outcome will be! The Gen2 Busa is completely awesome and although I still haven't had the chance to witness the power fully because of the breakin period, the handling is just like a GSXR 1000 in the twisties! That is my opinion and I am sticking with it!
:thumbsup:Thank-you again for your interests!

Mother Nature decided to grant me with a day of sunshine and my cam came in so I decided to put a few more miles on my bike for the break-in! In addition as requested, I took a few more pics with close-ups of the Pipe and Fairing Screens! :banana:Enjoy:banana:... The pics can be viewed at the following link:

Have you had the rear suspension jacked up - if so, by how much?

I did raise the rear for better handling in the corners but I may put it back to stock height at the recommendation of the Suzuki Test Rider who said that raising it will make it handle better in the corners but it also puts extra pressure on the front end at excessive high-speeds... I have no definition of "Excessive" so I am undecided right now! I think that it works just fine and I have been doing that for quite some time now and to other bikes as well with no problems! To answer your question... the rear has been raised 4" to accommodate my 6'3" height!

Thanks Oki, I had my last Busa jacked up by @ 1 and a half inches which improved the cornering, but 4'' is very extreme :surprise:

I've kept my jack up bones ready to fit my K8 - should get to fit them this weekend :thumbs up:

How bout the mirrors - who makes those, and how well do they work?

The mirrors are from MagicalRacing.com! They were a little hard to adjust for me being 6'3"... but they are definitely working for me now! They are actually Carbon Fiber outer and Blue Tinted Wide Angle Lens. :thumbs up:

I'm 6'3" also, What exactly was hard about the adjustment? :umm:

Also, what you using for raising the rear?

I was having a hard time being able to see my elbow and line of rear sight but after a few minor adjustments I was able to get a good view of my blindside:thumbs up:... As for the rear, I actually raised it about 2.5 to 3" utilizing 1/2" Stainless Steel Plate! I chose this because of the weight on the rear and I didn't want anything to happen drastically that can change my riding ability!:head meets wall: I do want to say that I have seen lowering and raising links on a site before but I am impatient! Think it was 58 cycle! But not 100% sure!:umm::umm:

Could you b a little more specific? Went to www.magicalracing.com - it's seems to b an advertisement site with links to motorcycle related sites. :umm: Do you recall the brand name of the mirrors?

Thanks :thumbs up:
