        ..............
You can imagine my anger when I came today to the garage to start my baby and do quick ride on that beautiful wet and slippery roads but nothing happened. Well nothing except loud clicking from battery area. First of all I've checked battery and was 10/10.5V so not that bad for few days of rest. I bet the noise was comming from starter relay because all bike was humid but I didn't know that could happened to me :head meets wall: Or maybe I'm wrong ?!
I'm just thinking .... if bike was so humid the spark plugs were too?! Really upset came back home and started
Is there any way to prevent from that ?!! (except covering bike).
:whistling:

Thx Chris but I've got good charger. The battery wasn't that week and it should easy start up. I think it all because it was so humid. How to prevent from getting all that wires so wet?! Leaving battery connected on charging/maintenance it won't resolve problem, will it ??!!!!!
Is that clicking/knocking noise normal ?! Is anyone has experienced it ?!!

It should have showed more than 10 to 10.5 even after setting for a few days. did you check it with a ohmmeter? that would be ok but you need to check it with a battery tester that puts a load on it. battery can show ok with ohmmeter but still not be good when you put a load on it. just my 2 cents.

That's a good 2cents. Well battery was connected and have been checked with AccuMate/Optimate/TecMate mini tester tool.

Volts are not everything, its the amounts of amps needed to power through to turn over.

Your battery by the sounds of it needs a load test, I bet it's either low or the battery is toast.

I'm not positive but I think the starter relay makes a clicking noise when the battery is just about dead.

Your absolutely right, 50 points to Warputer!

Your right about the starter relay, it will go clicky on a low battery.

Thank you guys for your comments. Well I left it connected and on charge mode for almost 48hrs came around bike this morning and first tested battery. You will never guess !!!! Was 12.6V but Amps showed 0.00 !!!!! I thought, well .... that's it, I'm not going to ride again. But to my surprise I did hit that magic button and engine started nicely and really softly ??!!!
I'm asking how that can be ??!! Over 12Volts but no Amps and engine started ..... pure magic :whistling:

Well I did today over 30miles in freaking cold weather and couldn't feel legs and my ass so .... :thumbs up: (satisfied)

I think you are wrong buddy. I've started her so many times when the Voltage was lower than 12. Engine has not started then with a touch of that button and has turned couple of times before that but finally has done it. I believe the Amps have loads to do with it ... but why the heck I've done it without them this time ??!! Tought question.
I really think that my busa needs loads of care, cuddling and definiately more love to get back her to the days of glory :whistling:

Just get a new battery and maintain it properly!!! And you can stop putting the testers on the battery and ride your FN Bike !! I say this with love of course!!!

Also the more you are having to crank on it with the battery not fully charged the harder it is on your starter (burning up the brushes), the better the battery, the quicker it starts, the less chance you have of smoking the brushes prematurly. just my thoughts.
