Hello all,
Does anybody know if Gen 2 throttle bodies will fit on a Gen 1 head? I am boosting my Hayabusa engined car and have hood to throttle body clearance issues. I want to put the stock and secondary injectors in the same throttle body if possible and the Gen 1 TPS too.
Also, what should the minimum distance between the throttle bodies and the top of the plenum be, in order to optimize airflow?
Does anybody have any suggestions for a low profile plenum?
Thanks.

it is a hot rod creation of my own that started life as a small production sportscar out of England. I bought it off a guy in Kent and it had a Rover V8 in it. It went like a "Bat out of hell" but was terribly badly balanced and handled like a pig on stilts. It could out accelerate everything (on 4 wheels) but would spin at the drop of a hat and when I braked hard the weight transfer was so bad that the rear end would patter off the ground.
I also had the problem of no legroom. The engine was up against the firewall and I, being 6'3" had my knees in my ears when I drove it. I redesigned the front end and gave myself 12" legroom as the Busa motor is offset. I fabricated a lever system that allows me to paddle shift it from the steering wheel, like flashing headlights. It is RHD which gives me the balance and offset I need. I designed the hood to clear the tall engine but I am having trouble fitting a turbo plenum. As you can see from the photos I have the air filter on a right angled intake but I want to have the secondaries injecting directly at the valves. I may have to do another bulge or blister on the hood to make it work but would prefer not to have to modify it. I would like to see if I can find a lexan blister to cover the plenum and secondary injectors if I cannot get around the plenum issue.
I put a Toyota rear axle in it and she runs pretty well now. It weighs about 1250 lbs with me in it, gassed and ready it go. I built it to learn how to drive fast on a roadrace track but it is also street legal. Last fall I had it on a racetrack for a Ferrari Track Day and had fun chasing a Ferrari 355 Challange race car around the track. I was able to stay with him but not pass. The turbo should rectify the situation. That is why I am calling the car the Heritic. A little plastic toy like this should not do what this car can do. I am very pleased with its performance and it has more untapped potential. I will be doing some more suspension work on it this spring and hopefully develop the turbo. i am thinking 7 lbs at the start as the engine is stock and later up the boost after putting stronger internals in the motor. I am using a Garrett GT2560R turbo and an intercooler with secondary injectors, keeping the stock Suzuki electronics but would love to hear from those of you who have more experience than I with suggestions.
I am aware that with the extra weight and bigger contact patches as well as a higher drag coefficient than the bike has the engine will be under a greater load in the car so I want to work up to a powerful, RELIABLE engine. A great friend of mine thinks I am nuts boosting the engine saying "You have a reliable machine and now you want to make it unreliable. The rod and piston makers love turbos. BOOM"
I want to prove him wrong, I hate humble pie!

The throttle bodies are a different size and different spacing, and would require a lot of changes, doubtful that it would be worthwhile to attempt this, we are working on a set of secondary injectors below the throttle bodies, but will be a few weeks out yet,
