RE-VISITED: Free Fender Eliminator for K8 Busa

In my previous thread on this subject (http://www.busanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=381), I outlined how to create a free Fender Eliminator-like arrangement using OEM hardware that comes on the bike: the rear reflector brackets, as follows:

I am now compelled to report that this didn't work out quite like I envisioned it would.... once you re-installed the rear cowl bodywork, the top edge of the license plate strikes the rearmost portion of the cowl. :head meets wall:

So... a slight adjustment is necessary.... :whistling:

Basically, all that is needed is to spin the brackets around 180 degrees, bend them up a little bit more, and drill two more small holes in the plate to accommodate the holes on the brackets.

The new placement looks fairly good directly from the side:

definitely gonna have to do this myself when i get my new one rather than spend a lot of money. even better is getting rid of those reflectors. where did you get those LED lights and how long do they last?

This is a great mod. Thats how I did my license bracket! Great writeup!

I did the same mod. The hardest part was getting the nuts off the reflector bolts.

I know the bike is durty.
