Two Wheels Only - an excellent Brit moto-rag - has shown us The Way!!
This issue here..... de-restricted, with just a few road-legal mods, it went 200.2 MPH!!!!!!!!!!

I got this issue a couple days ago at Barnes & Noble. It has some excellent K8 articles, in addition to the de-restricted article. Also has a sidebar article on comparing the K8 with the ZX-1400... heh.... you can probably guess the outcome of that comparo.
Note that in order to achieve the Double-Ton top speed number, they used (among other things) a 4-2-1 Yosh system.
It's only happenstance that I ordered up a Yosh 4-2-1 system for my Busa today. :thumbs up:
The polished stainless system you see on Black/Gray Busa on the cover here is actually from the 2007 K7 bike. The total mods they did to reach the final top speeds were:
1) installed a TRE
2) 2007 Yosh 4-2-1, with a decibel-killer baffle insert from a 2007 GSX-R1000K7
3) PCIIIusb (also from a K7) with a DynoJet mapping that resulted from a couple looooong dyno sessions
4) Renthal 42T rear sprocket
Perhaps the most important aspect of this issue is to note that this was one of the highest speed runs ever produced from a 100% road-legal production bike, putting an end (once and for all) to the eternal, never-ending argument of which color bike is the fastest. :not worthy: :not worthy: :not worthy:

You keep smoking!:smoke: you da man:thumbs up: nice find bro, it will be short lived when i get my Orange 08 out  Enjoy it while you can - I'll use one of Brocks Alienhead 4-2-1 exhaust, PC, T.R.E and beat that lol, hey hold on, didnt Brocks 08 orange do 202 mph?:surprise: lol @ Maxton with those same very mods just with his exhaust? Below is a detailed description from DRAGBIKE.COM
Brock’s Performance tuned 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa cracks 200mph
The 2008 Suzuki ripped across the one mile concrete runway at an incredible 202.57591mph becoming the first and only official Generation-II Hayabusa to venture into 200mph territory
"Brock completed minor modifications to comply with the ECTA safety requirements such as an Ohlins steering damper and a Tiger Racing metal chain guard. Then he also added his own Brock’s Performance Alien Head exhaust system for maximum power. The bike was also set-up with a Dynojet Power Commander III USB with his “Maxton Mapping” to handle the fueling. Dave Owen also installed an Innovate LM-1 basic and a LMA-3 data acquisition system to aid with track-side tuning.
Then Brock fitted the bike with his own “Ultra clutch” modification kit and a front and rear suspension lowering package. World Wide Bearings provided ceramic bearings and Richie’s Tires was the supplier for the high-speed rated Michelin Pilot Power Race tires. The bike was also outfitted with Vortex aluminum sprockets (stock gearing) as well as Spiegler brake lines. The team also used Chicken Hawk tire warmers and a special “Brock modified” Regina 530 chain. The engine was lubricated with Alisyn engine oil and VP-MR9 fuel was used through out the event. Internally the engine was 100% stock and everything used on the bike is available right off the BrocksPerformance.com (http://www.brocksperformance.com/) website which makes 200mph a reality for anyone with enough guts and talent to ride it. "

Discuss: is Brocks 08 busa not considered street?
Well, technically, no, in that I find it hard to believe that the Alien Head megaphone is anywhere near compliant with Noise Ordnances (not that anyone really gives a flying rat's ass about that, unless you are in downtown Denver, etc)
And although it is certainly not illegal, the other thing that I most definitely not do on the street is to have the bike lowered to the degree Brock did when he hit the 202 mph mark. Try riding the bike like that on the street, and your fairing chin will be toast in short order....:oh yeah:
As you can see in the photo of TWO's black/gray K8 above, they appear to have left the bike's frame height/chassis orientation essentially stock.
All that happy horseshit aside, yes, Brock has the TWO guys beat by ~ 2.4 mph....

Touche' well said, I think it will make an interesting discussion what is considered "Street" and crosses the line into highly modded unstreetable Busa? Nice find on the T.W.O article:thumbs up:, I look forward to reading it.

But with the brock pipe you can by the DB killer plug for his exhaust aswell, nt sure how much of a differance it would make though on sound levels and performance.

The only reason TWO magazine used a black bike is they couldn't get hold of any of the faster orange bikes as Suzuki in all their wisdom only imported 75 Orange Bikes into the UK. And they were all snapped up as soon as they were made available
