I need help with a busa engine on methanol concerning how much timing can be used. Has anyone on this forum heard of anyone with experiance at this.

How much compression does your engine have? Stock engine (11-1) could use 5 degrees more timing but if you have very high CR like 15-1, use stock timing. I am building a bike now for methanol but it won't be done for three months. LSL

I need help with a busa engine on methanol concerning how much timing can be used. Has anyone on this forum heard of anyone with experiance at this. Our busa is a racecar application with a special built crank case and direct drive off of crankshaft to rearend. Please forgive my asking this on a motorcycle forum but I really need some help. We made our first pull on the dyno and got 220 hp but had trouble with the adpter at the crank and dyno. We don't have time before racing to dyno again to tune for max hp.

Thanks

Monte
