I think the best thing to do would be to wait till they are in a high speed pursuit chasing someone else, with their busa rung out in full accelleration, then pass them from behind. They will be so shocked they will think they just hit the brakes, LOL
I can hear it now, back at the garage, moaning and complaining something is wrong with their bike, telling the garage mechanic that another busa blew by them like they were sitting still, ha ha

My concerns are safety more than a few miles over the speed limit. We normally patrol in heavy traffic. Changing lanes unsafely is major causation factor. We don't tolerate wheelies and stunt riding, ...... generally squids that have no business owning a motorcycle. Stunt riding has no place on the street... end of story.
We also look at safety gear.... there is no helmet law (under 18 in Oklahoma) or riding gear other than eye protection.
We take a positve view of the rider doing it right, top of the line gear makes a good impression ....these riders tend to be serious about the sport. Someone who bought a motorcycle because "my buddy said it is cool" probably should sell it before he/she gets hurt.
As far as we are concerned wearing doo rags, shorts, tennis shoes, lack of gloves and eye protection ..... these people belong at the pool, not on a motorcycle on a public roadway.
I can't give you a hard fast answer when it comes to enforcement...... ticket vs warning. Naturally I can't speak for all officers only how I feel about the subject.
My opinion is just that ....... opinion, everyone has one.
Treat people fair, if they let you.......another subject.
The driver/rider who is creating a danger to himself or others is the one to take enforcement on.
There are always going to be endless debates on this subject due to the "human factor". Some officers would write their own mother a ticket. Others feel a good roadside discussion will do the job.

How is your 08 coming a long? any pics or upgrades yet? How do you find your personal GenII compared to the GenI you patrol on? weight is a huge difference with all the upgrades, beetle bags etc..... you have on the Police Busa?-Duane

no comparison the 08 is much nicer overall, Suzuki did a good job making a great motorcycle better.
We could all find things we wished they had added or changed but for the price it is a good deal. If I had a gen one and invested a bunch of money and spent hours doing mods, ... I would probably keep it.
i am by no means complaining about the 08, ... anti lock brakes would have been a nice option, I understand they are optional on the b-king. The added safety they provide would trump any weight gains.
i hope someday anti-lock will be standard on all motorcycles.
made a few mods,
electronic cruse control
decals removed
powerlet for zumo and heated clothing
mounted zumo
tank protectors - 3m clear film
additional led brake light (brighter)
pazzo levers - ordered
buell pegs - ordered
next
hid low beam
exhaust - not sure - doing research
heli bars
seat - waiting on corbin
probably mod the rear turn signals to running lights
looking into auto turn signal cancel - should have had it from the factory.
also like to install gxr1000 mirrors, I have seen it done, can't find any one willing to give up the mod.
Working on reflective decals to take the place of the factory reflectors - need to keep it legal.....
