Guys I'm planning to get the 2008 Silverado with regular cab
Do you think my gen II hayabusa will fit on it's box?
Did any body tried it before?
and if not what is the best truck with the Busa?
Thanks :umm:

Should be... it's how I got my Busa home... but on a older model chevy truck... mid 90's I think.

The biggist problem w/ hauling a Busa is tying it down. The fairing sticks out to the end of the bars so you cant tie it straight down. I had to buy some special strap that goes across the bars. I was using my Wells Cargo Cycle Hauler which I hauled two H-D's all over the country with so I thought I would just ride it in strap it down an take off. Wrong!!!

I have a 5x8 enclosed trailer for mine and it fits just fine. Im guessing with the tailgate down you will be ok. As far as strapping, I use the canyon dancer tie down system. Its two small cup like things that go over the grips and pull tight. Then you use the hooks on them to hook to ratchet straps. Just wrap a micro fiber cloth around your grips to prevent damage. Make sure youalso strap down the back end. I run straps through the swing armT

I have a 8x24 foot enclosed trailer that works great! Can haul 4 bikes with plenty of room. And if you dont have a canyon dancer or you dont feel like messing up your bar ends or grips with the old one you can run straps inside the upper and hook on the top clamp and it works great and you can strap it straight down! Now lets hear how unsafe that is. And straps to the rearsets? Wow! It doesnt take much to break them off with one good pull from a ratchet strap! You may want to use the swingarm to strap to, or go ahead and price some peg brackets!

The best strap I have found for tying down a Busa is a Canyon Dancer. It goes across the bars and works great. I think I only paid around $30 U.S. for mine.
