I'm currently in the market for a used Hayabusa. Can anyone give me an idea of a price range for a stock bike for any given year. Also let me know if you are quoting US or CDN $. I'm also thinking about grabbing one from the States, so I'm trying to get an idea of how much cash I need.

I think overall the Busa's are holding decent resale prices depending on how many miles they have and what mods.
There is definitely a cult status and a bit of snobbery with some that feel the 'new' look of the latest version isn't up to their cup of tea and feel that their's is "good enough'! Which explains the current hold on earlier models' prices and not a drop as potentially expected.
To some, the looks of the new Hayabusa are hard to swallow.

Last week, the Canadian Dollar DID surpass the USD. It topped at .017 over the USD.
Today the USD has gained a little to perspective. 1 USD to CAD = 0.982713
However, with all of that being said; even when the CAD is more or even equal to USD the price of living or the consumed goods, due to GST's and other Government taxes makes it worth crossing borders to buy American goods and services.

It's not the cost of living or consumed goods that's screwing us. In Quebec, real estate is much cheaper then most places in the US or similar stature. It's the fact that we're overcharged for everything else. They used to use the US exchange as an excuse but not the manufacturers are sweating because they can't really ecplain why they're trying to ass fist us. ie subaru wrx in US is 25k US and and in canada 35k CDN. Why am I paying 10k more for the same car?:umm: reason, cuz they're trying to insert a fist in my arse! And I'm not enjoying it. So now ppl are all checking dealers across the border. There is a class action law suit against the canadian manufacturers for threatening US dealers not to sell to canadian residents. It's time to give it back to them.
I heard a rumour 2 weeks ago that suzuki canada was dropping their msrp 20% to match up with the US but I'm still waiting to see that.

I used to go up to vancouver and buy stuff when the U.S. exchange was around $150 canadian for $100 american, clothes especially, a few other items worked out cheaper too like hash and weed, I no longer smoke but I still wear clothes but its not likely I will be traveling up to BC to shop with the U.S. dollar being so weak, I wonder if the canadian economy has felt an imact due to its exchange rate with the U.S.?

Tourism was hit hard since we had alot of americans used to come up because it the exchange was so good. And most likely more canadians are going to the states on their holidays as well since its pretty much at par now.

The movie industry up here has been hit hard also, as it use to be cheap to film north of the border because of the low dollar.
