My clutch ahs been slipping pretty bad on my 99 lately and the other day it got terrible! so bad that to make it take off you had to really rev it up to even get it to go a little bit. (long ehough to get it home) when I finally drifted in the garage it wouldn't even move in gear justacted like it was in neutral. I ordered a new plate pack and fibers. I HOPE that fixes it........anyone else ever have that happen to them and if so was it just the clutch pack that was shot or worse.......I am praying that is all that is wrong because we have been planning a trip for months and it's next weekend! any help or thoughts appreciated:umm::rant::puke::shake_head_no:

Sorry just saw this, when you replace the fibres and new plates, i would go get a set of stiffer springs like Barnett, they make a world of difference. check clutch master cylinder for levels and see that the clutch lever pin is sitting correctly in the piston???

ok so I put in the new plates and with tybalt's suggestion put in new barnett springs and...:thumbs up: got good clutch again! it is alot stiffer than it was to which is nice. I only have one question left. My clutch engages almost as soon as you start to pull in the lever. is there anyway to adjust it so it doesn't engage until I pull it in a little farther?

YES, look at the clutch lever and adjust the dial

not sure on a busa but i know on the 1k you can adjust the clutch on the side of the engine. its a flathead screw with a locknut on it under a small cover right by the clutch cover, may even be on the clutch cover. (been a while since the days of drag racing a 1k) you may need an extra hand to do this though.
