my idle is a little low and i want to correct it, but here is my problem, i never owned a busa before and mine did not come with an owners manual. i don't know where the idle screw is and i was wondering if someone could tell me the best way to get to the screw so i don't have to rip the whole bike apart trying to find it. i havn't actually tryed to find it yet but i thought i would try to get some direction from one of u guys or ladies first before i attempt it. its an 06.

its very easy to get to. remove your seat, unbolt tank, then prop the tank with the prop rod. the idle screw is on the right side of the bike. i put thread lock on it b/c the idle will slowly decrease with time.

First take off your seat
2nd, take the bolts that hold down the gas tank at the front of the bike off.
3rd, Check under your rear seat(Hump if single rider) and in the tray on the key side there should be a rod thats clipped to the bottom of the tray. Take it off.
4th, Use the rod to hold the gas tank up through one of the bolt hole and the other side goes into the neck bolt hole( the bolt in the centre of the triple tree)
5th, move your body to the brake side of the bike and just look down under the air box, you will see a spring with a screw throgh it.
Tada, thats it. Adjust idle when engine is at running temp
Busa are know for losing idle.

Here (http://www.busanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2805) there is a post about idle with some videos. May it help you.
Running idle at 1.200-1250 r/min my Busa sound better, works great, smooth when change frequently gear (in city) and seems it have better oil pressure

Nice pic's for illustration, and having the higher rpm supports better oil pressure and better charging of the electrical system.
And while you have the it open ,shoot some lube in the cables, this should be a standard maintaince check will your there. Alot of people forget and this also can improve throttle feel and response. A little once of prevention goes a long way.
