Very Nice from R&G Racing Products:
These crash protectors feature our stylish, aerodynamic Aero Bobbins and are available in black. Suitable for the Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa '08-. These you do not have to modify or cut fairings:thumbs up:

These look great and are just what I'm looking for. But, you say you don't have to cut the fairing, but the product listing from R & G says cutting is necessary. Which is it? Thanks

Let me confirm to make sure what I am saying is correct, I understood from them that it was a bracket that went around the bodywork to the frame mounting bracket and you attach the slider to the pertruding bracket. I will get back to you on this, txs for pointing it out to me, i want to make sure we have the accurate information here:thumbs up:

Thanks for the reply. I really like the looks of those sliders, but I'm having a hard time thinking about cutting my new baby (yea---I'm a whimp LOL). I had some "NO CUT" sliders on my '06 from Street 'n Track, but I don't think they have out yet for the '08. Just looking for a little peace of mind protection. If you find any "no cuts" please let me know. Thanks again!

no cut frame sliders for the k8. They look kinda bulky but no need to cut into perfectly good fairings

The No Cut Sliders shown on Street N Track look exactly like the ones made by T-Rex Racing. The kit by T-Rex is only $109.99 though.

I would be cautious, it is my view that if the sliders don't mount to the frame, then they will not have the strength to hold up to a crash. Need to be directly mounted to the frame not bracket mounted to the frame. Just my 2 cents.

Hi,
looking at those same t-rex sliders for my bike. Could you comment on them, they seem kind of small, do you think they really will do the job in case of a side crash compared to a regular cut side slidermounted directly instead of this one mounted with brackets?

I had a set of LSL Frame Sliders on my 05 ZZR1200 and both of them ripped off the frame when I high sided her two weeks ago. When you have a long bolt over say 6 or 7 inches attached to an aluminum frame it creates a lot of leverage when 600lbs slams on the ground at 25mph+ causing them to tear off the frame.
Would be nice if these manufactures actually tested their products!
The T-Rex IMO are only good for when you drop your bike standing still or maybe a very low speed crash say under 10mph.
