I'm planning on buying an '09 Busa. The best Canadian (Ontario) price I've found so far is $15400 out the door. After just 3 emails, I 've found a price in the US of $10 900 O.T.D. add GST and PST and that's $12317.
Anyone know what other fees are collected at the border? Since it is made in Japan I am sure there will be duty. If I can save $2000 or so I don't care if I lose the warranty. With length of the Canadian Riding Season it only amounts to a 6 month warranty.
I'd like to keep the business in Canada but if Suzuki Canada doesn't adjust their prices to reflect the higher value of our dollar I will have no choice. There is still too much of a discrepancy.

I haven't done a lot of checking yet but this place in N.Y. State is the cheapest so far: http://sunnysidecyclesales.com/
I've exchanged a few emails back and forth with a salesman named Eric.
No PDI, No Freight, No Tax on foreign purchases. The only extra charge is a $5.00 tire tax. If you buy from them they also give a 15% discount on accessories. The price he gave me was for an '08.
Since the quote I've decided to hold off for an '09. Not sure if that will affect the price.
I'd like to find out how much duty and other fees Canada Customs will stick me with. I have a feeling that I would still be much further ahead buying in the US.
