What are people running in the 1/8 mile on a stock 08 busa?

Generally around 5.85 @ 123 mph on a well prepped track.
Stock motor and stock gearing. Just a pipe and power commander well tuned with Innovate system. If they are running street cars or imports that day, forget it.

hey falconer, im in the process of getting the licence. im half way done.. this weekend i finally got the front strapped down, and that really helped with the wheelies.. i went in test and tune an was in A mode and went a 10.13 @ 140 mph.. it was 95 degrees , so i know if i was on our local strip i would have been in the nines finally. the 10.13 was my very first pass and the only pass that i made that day so i think if i could have ran again id hit the nines!! Im in first place now in the point series i race in , i raced the guy that was in first and beat him so im in first place now..

I ran a couple of 6.3's and 6.2's, 124mph on a crap track with very little prep. So not sure what I will do in the 1/4 . Would post pics from photo bucket but not sure how.

T,
Hope your not giving up Maxton...
Obviously 60 ft is everything. A mid 1.5 will get you a 5.9 1/8 mile, and a mid to high 1.4 60 ft will get you a 5.8 in the 1/8th and a 9.0x in the quarter. These motors are so torqey, you can leave the line at 4kRPM, and just concentrate on getting the clutch out and throttle pinned almost immediatly.
Your 124 MPH in the 1/8th is awsome for a streetbike.

those are great times , im assuming you all are streched.. on stock wheelbase its not that easy to go to WOT right off the line. i pull 1.7 60 foot and that is fighting wheelies,

sooner or latter i will stretch it!!! but i like learning how to go fast on this bike swb. then when i do strech it i will be even faster, i see alot of people that have stretched bikes that never really learned to ride that cant even turn a good 60.ft

This is my first post on this forum. I bought my 08 busa last week and had a 4 into 1 pipe installed before I picked it up. I had a R1 with extended swingarm and lowered front and back. The best time was 10.20 @ 130. with a stock motor. I had too many busa's run by me at the lights not to own one. This is the best bike I have every rode. The power is great and I have not even twisted it up yet. I was told by the dealer to give it 500 miles and let them dyno tune it and they would show me 190 hp at the rear tire. Is this possible. I hope to run in the 9's with the stock wheel base but I have plans to install a swingarm and lower link. Anyone running 9's with a stock bike and a pipe?

alot of people are getting in the nines on a stock wheel base 08, were we race ive been 10.0 every time the elevation and heat just isnt good for fast times, but i took it to a track a few weeks ago were the air was cool and the elevation was lower and it went 9.78. you will want to lower it and strap the front outherwise its a wheelie monster lol

I ran a friend of mine this weekend on a gsxr 1000 that run low 9's. We had to run from a roll due the the stock swingarm is a bear in first gear. I stayed next to him up to 160 when I got scared and backed off. It was pulling so hard at 160 I felt like I just got off a roller coster. I can't wait to go to the drag strip. Still waiting on info on a swingarm and lower link.

You think it pulls hard at 160 wait till you get the swing arm on that thing and grab a handful in first. You'll be so wore out after your leave the track from trying to hold on to that monster you won't believe it.
It a freight train at the track.

What do you know about 2008 swingarms? Will the 2007 work with just brake mods. ? Are there differents between the wheel ?
