Operations Manager running very high volume, fast paced 300, 000 sq ft Warehousing & Transportation Facilities in the 3PL(3rd party logostics) area.

As for Trucking, because I deal with you guys everyday, I imagine it is a very hard life on the road all the time? and You told me before you have been up here in Ontario Canada on runs and thats tuff because we have some of the most dangerous stretches of highways especially in the winter with ice and complete white out conditions.

I spent the years 1973-2003 as a fire truck mechanic for a big city fire dept. We had the busiest heavy rescue, 4th busiest pumper and 8th busiest ladder company. I ran the pumper and ladder annual testing for 15 years. I retired in 2003 and with my racing partner we opened a hi-perf bike shop with Dyno-Jet dyno and a fab shop inside. We campaigned a Pro Stock Harley dragbike and were the first to crack 7 seconds in Gainsville last March. We raced in All Harley Dragrace Assn-AHDRA-events across the country for four years and in June I quit the bike shop and the race team after some disagreements with my partner-the bike rider-and I was the crewchief on the team. I took all my machinery and tools and welders home to my new polebarn. I now mechanic for a stone company and will do some truck and semi driving when the weather gets better. Have been riding motorcycles for 35+ years. blackbikeguy

I'm a general contractor, everything from new to remodels. Almost every phase but stone and brick work, helps me keep a handle on the quality without dealing with lame excuses from subs, which has made my relationships with home owners much better. Not the kind that sits in the truck and watches, hands on 100%, the guys that work with me have better respect knowing that I'm right next to them working as hard or harder. Lead by example, work as a team. During the last two years I was also able to pursue my first love which has been motorcycles, doing repairs and rebuilding bikes out of my garage which I'm hoping to expand that to full time over the next few years. I do geophysical data pre-processing most of the time. I also do whatever's necessary to keep the place going. From taking the instruments in for servicing, to fabbing parts/components to making gopher runs. The company also sends me out into the boons to do some bush crashing. So far I've been on jobs as far north as NWT and as far south as NV. No international jobs as of yet, but I've seen most of Europe, most of the northern part of the Americas and a bit of the southern part, in my personal travels.
