HELP!!!

My '99 Busa with 3200 miles on it has developed a stutter (missing) below 3400 rpm. This bike has set a lot (Obviously) with old fuel in it. I ran the old fuel out and added some fuel injector cleaner with new fuel. Once the bike gets above 3400 rpm it comes on strong. We removed the air box and disconnected the attached wires and vacum lines and it idled just fine. While hooking everything back up I blew into the boost sensor just for the hell of it. I took a test drive and it ran great and idled fine for a few blocks but began to act up again. By the time I got back it was completely screwed up again. I got on bikebandit.com and found the part but it was $100.00! OUCH!!

Does anybody have any input or help with this situation. I'd like to hear from you before I break down and buy a $100 part that may (although we're pretty sure it's the culprit) or may not be the problem.

Thanks,

Ok, before I spent $100 on a boost sensor we replaced the original spark plugs with a new set of NGK platnium plugs.

Problem Solved!!

This bike is a '99 with 3300 miles on it. The owners manual says to replace the plugs every 12,000 miles or one year which ever comes first. How do a set of plugs go bad when this bike has been sitting in the garage for most of its life?

Anyway, thanks for the responses.

if your boosted now that can do it. i dont know what route u went with ur turbo system. but if the plug temp isnt right or ur running overly rich becuase a lot of kits with crappy FMU;s will run rich for safety. that could be bunking ur plugs early.
