Footpeg Lowering Brackets
Oberon black-anodised racing pegs

New Braking system (SS lines, Wave rotors, HH pads)
Stainless steel clutch line

On my K8 I've put carbon mirrors and Oberon footpegs. Coming this week from USA will be a shiny new pair of Yoshimura TRC's.

Also soon, I'll be removing the rear mudguard(fender) and fitting 1" jackup dogbones.

Future mods will be a TRE, 2 long stacks and an 18t front sprocket ready for Woodbridge next May.

No other plans for any other mods.................yet :roll eyes:

My experience was different.

I just did a 200-mile romp around the Columbian Basin yesterday (took advantage of freakishly warm Chinook Winds; ambient temps in the high 50's!), and I can absolutely tell the difference of the jel seat over stock... on the stocker, I was getting that "condensed/pinched" foam problem after about 50-75 miles.

I 'll throw my .02 cents in and i want the change  I had the Gel on my 02, wow loved it, very comfortable, only draw back was when it got wet, it would be soaked also when it was hot out ,the Gel seat would get extremely hot and burning I found, as for looks, it looks great and i am digging the 08 gel seat:surprise: very nice and i will take looks every time over functionality lol

6" of snow and temps in the teens = Winter mod time.

-Get my 6" over polished, underbraced arm on my 04
-Maybe some airbrush work on the 04 as well
-Couple painter sets to do
-Try to fit a gsxr front fender to see if I like it

Time to crank up the heat in the shop.

he said what he meant.slippers are more of a down shifting thing to not chatter the rear. slider is for launching.

Steve,

Have you changed your stock gearing...? If not, the 08 has 18/43 from the factory. You are going to want a lower rear sprocket unless you can find a 19 counter shaft...

Er.... okay. Sounds like you are serious... :oh yeah:

See, y'all have an excellent opportunity here to yank my chain when it comes to all this stretched/slammed/drag-racing stuff.

I come from a pure road-riding background (long-distance Endurance Riding competitions), and I have very, very little exposure to the Busa drag-racing world (seriously).
Me culpa. "Slider" , it is, then....

MY goal for this winter's mods is a challenging one. I am mounting a high res color rear facing camera and a motorized 7" LCD screen on the top of my tank in front of my filler cap, thus rendering the useless rear view mirrors just that.... useless. All they do now is give me a really clear view of my shoulders. ha ha

i am buying a whole separate tank to encase and to all my prep work to. This is not just going to be suctioned on, i am building a sub-frame and fiberglassing it as close to the bikes lines as i possibly can. the whole screen assembly is no bigger than a car stereo deck, it slides out and tilts up automatically.

however, so i don't go at this all alone, does ANYONE know where i can get some reference data to help me out? i can't even find a PICTURE of what i intend to do on the internet. so, i am asking for your help. plenty of pictures will follow for anyone who is interested.

Thanks in advance!

Greetings Cannibal!
Any luck with the GSXR fender mount on the Busa?

I saw one and really liked it and wondered about the difficulty of the installation process...

Thanks for any info you may have.

Best regards,
Roy

this winter I am going to powdercoat my rims, passenger pegs, rear sets, brake and clutch handles, and kickstand black to get all the gold off and make it all blend in with the frame. I am also taken off the gold kanji and replacing it with a black one.
the one other thing is streeeeetching it 6 inches.:thumbs up:
