Hello

I know some of you like me, use the busa for fun driving has for travels, i already have the tank cover and the bagster tang bag (for now). Since there are already many options from sw motech for hard luggage ( carriors for top case, side cases V35 and other), without counting the softcases options.

I like to see what options you use for travels, i am specally interested in the seen the k8 with top case.

This was my last touring mode ( not very pratical)

the bags warputer uses look pretty good not sure what brand. do you use a good backpack as well? tourmaster and nelson rigg both make pretty sporty looking bags that are a universal type.

that looks less restrictive than strapping right to the seat. cool bracket too. when full does it help with wheelies at all? i wear 2 different backpacks depending on how long i will be out. as long as it isnt to heavy i dont notice it. but i can fit a change of clothes incase i get lucky.(you never know riding an orange busa)

VENTURA has many options for bags, you acn use 1 bag or zip 2 together as shown in my pics. Also rack top can come off and use another piece as just a luggage rack for strapping stuff on to it. You can customize it to your needs and unbolt for play time.

That is Suzuki's own "accessory" windscreen for the K8. It is 1.5" higher than stock.

It is normally light-smoke in color... I tinted mine black to keep cockpit electronics a bit cooler, and to keep prying eyes away:

Setting up my K8 for touring.

Helibars - Helps on the wrists and no problems at the track.

Corbin rider, passenger seats and backrest - firm, comfortable, wife likes the passenger seat and backrest.

First Gear sidebags - need standoffs for the saddlebags, I might have to make my own as I do not want to strap the bags together under the seat, rather strap them to the standoffs.

Undecided on which tail rack, still looking.

Everything is removable for sport/solo riding and trackdays, (no need to change out the Helibars).

Hi Warputer,

They do look like they hold plenty, had any problems splitting lanes with those :)

Can't see them, do you have standoffs for the bags to keep them away from the bike?

:rofl:I don't think you'd want to split lanes with those big bags on .....and no standoffs, they just lay on the sides of the bike.

We wanted to run come canyons in Idaho and Utah - but don't live there !

So we loaded up the bikes for a week of camping and riding. :oh yeah:

And ripped out 2,400 miles of fun.

Tail pack, Tank Bag, Side Bags and tents, sleeping bags, coolers, ect .

Ran great up to around 125 or so, after that the bags started to pull on the bike a bit. :surprise:

I have the Givi e360 and the SW Motech kit and just got back from my 5 state loop, June 9th. I like them and they are a bit big but loads of room.

Top of the rack off, another one is just a thing to its burly luggage rack. You can customize your needs, and for playing time unbolt.

That's a really nice upgrade Fester. I have the same Give v35 and the blinker is quite hidden if not directly from the bag..
I just ordered a new smoked taillight with blinker incoporated for that same reson but your mod is great thinking and nice connections you have made also:thumbs up:. I might want to do that mod if the tail light sucks...
I also have the SW motech set with the Give V35 and a Big Krauser topbaks for all my wifes accesories... I am amased how much is needed of shoes and cloths for a week trip... :whistling:

I know this isn't a busa but the tail pack is universal:
Well after researching some topics on sport touring with the King I have decided to give sport touring a try. I will post up as the mods progress on my king. I searched for water-proof travel packs and came across a company with what seemed to be a nice durable looking set up from Kriega. As it happens the U.S. distributer lives here in New Orleans, and after speaking with him in person I had a chance to check out his own US40 combo set up. The system seems relatively nice, water-proof, and ruggedly constructed. It features two 10 liter side packs and one main 20 liter compartment. The construction seems to be military grade or better, and the zippers are rubberized to be water resistant. From the looks of the zippers they seem relatively water tight and are barely noticable when closed. The interior of the bag has a removable bright white linning to assist with locating items in the night hours when little lighting is available, and as an added bonus the linning can be removed for cleaning. Each pack has extra pockets for small items as well, making it a versitle set up as you can arrange the luggage system in different fashions by adding or subtracting side packs, which can also be used as a tank bag with the purchase of the tank harness. Here are some pics of the luggage system that I just brought home:

I had a Ventura set up with Max size Bag. Had it packed up to limit and broke both support arms at 160mph when I hit a few bumps.
The Givi rear Box set is much Sturdier in my Pinion.
I had Corbin Panniers (Beetles) on my old k3 but they have become very expensive so not now and option :(
