At what point does it get too hot to ride ?

I've rode to work all week and when I get there I'm soaked with sweat. About a 70 minute ride and I feel like I'm gonna die....even with the mesh jacket. :head meets wall:

OL' SCHWEADY BAWLZ!!...it takes a good 85 degree day or above to get me sweating. mesh textile jackets imo are always more steamy then their leather counterparts. i use the mesh jacket on chilly mornings and my ventilated leather one on the hotter days and its all black as you have seen. for some reason i just feel like i am in a sauna suit in the nylon type jackets. the busa can get me sweating quick on the tighter roads cuz there is no late breaking..lol..

I agree ....the mesh seems to be hotter than the leather jacket. And the full suit is absolutely unbearable !

i like how light the mesh jackets are. i have a icon merc 3 gsxr jacket coming. it has some vented panels but i got to wear with a long sleeve shirt on cooler days or bike nights. been back ordered for months:head meets wall:

Columbia has been HOT all week. I rode in work a couple times. Gonna ride in tomorrow. Mesh suit isn't too bad IMHO. MY ride is mostly slabbing it up 77 to Blythewood. About 15 minutes if I am going slow. I rode for a few hours last saturday with the wife.. It was HOT.

Like one of my work friends says... it gets so hot here... Take and put your suit and full face helmet on, then take your hair dryer and open your shield and point it towards you.. That's what its like riding in the summer in Columbia.

Living on the east coast where it's 90+ and humid your gonna sweat no matter what. Out here on the west coast where we have little to no humidity it kinda takes some serious heat to make you sweat.......

Never too hot to ride on the street, but it is a pain here when it climbs into the mid 90's. I do settle for mesh during the summer.

Racing hare scrambles is another story; I skipped a makeup race on 6-1 because it was just too hot.

Last race of the season was Mothers' Day in Okeechobee. It was around 98 degrees, busted my Camelbak about halfway through and tried to tough it out. Had to stop for water halfway through the final lap and dropped from a solid second place finish to seventh. Man was I glad to see the checkered flag, I have never been so heat exhausted.

Sounds like me on the way to work.....after about an hour of riding I can "feel" the dehydration setting in. :head meets wall:
