Hi,
Recently my 2005 Hayabusa has been snatching, spluterring, and near stalling at 7K revs. Top gear is about 140mph but it starts in lower gears also. Just 4000 mile serviced at Suzuki dealer. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers

I had a similar problem with my gsxr. Turned out to be a spark plug that fouled. I could not get mine past 8k rpm hopefully it something stupid like that. Good luck

Hi,
I was hoping the same kind of thing would be the problem. After the 4000mile service it was not as bad in lower gears but in top it was the same. Waiting on the Suzuki dealer getting back to me, but was wondering if it may be common or had been noticed before. Cheers

Hi,
Back to dealer to-day and spark plugs changed as I mentioned the reply from here. As yet not had a chance to test at this speed. Probably nearer week-end, if Scotland can stay dry :-)

The problem is attempting to diagnose your issue is you've provided hardly any specific info about your Hayabusa. Is it a stock Hayabusa or has it been modified in some way? If so, what are the mods?
Spark plugs shouldn't be fouling out in a mere 4,000 miles HOWEVER, you stated the dealership has performed the work and they may have failed to reconnect the spark plug caps fully and/or they may have made the spark plug gap too wide, which reduces the spark intensity by making it arc through too much air (making it a colder spark that's extinguished easier by the highly repetitive fuel mixtures at higher RPM). Gap them no wider than .030" if you pull the spark plugs and make certain the spark plug caps are fully seated after reinstalling the spark plugs.
Also, they may not have reinstalled the vacuum line (or it popped off) that controls the opening of the air box flapper. Check this vacuum line (connected under the air box). If the flapper doesn't open, 7,000 RPM is the usual RPM limit in higher gears (slightly higher RPM achieved while in lower gears).
