PATRIOT
10-03-2007, 06:40 PM
I'm Doc.

I was a proud member of the Patriots Australia.

The Patriots is a club for serving and ex-serving military members and it encompasses all those members who cant join Vietnam Veterans MC.

I have been riding on and off for a long while now. I had a enforced break due to a riding matter , two non-understanding coppers (and a slight discrepancy of whether it was me they were chasing) which stopped me riding for about 15 years .

When I returned to riding after my penances were served I started out on a Suzuki Across GSX-F 250 and then Upgraded to a VTR1000F Firestorm. The Firestorm was a great bike and served me well but i wanted something more. Passion.

The Hayabusa has always been a dream bike of mine and because the body's starting to go with old age will probably be my last sports bike before retiring to the cruiser ranks.

Warchild
11-18-2007, 11:07 PM
Howdy, gentlemen. I go by Warchild on the various forums.

Have been a looooong time CBR1100XX Blackbird rider, and still have my '02 XX, but it is regulated to Long Distance Endurance rallies. Long Distance riding is sorta my Thang. I am the Chief Technical Inspector for the Iron Butt Association.

Pretty sure I won't be LD riding on the Busa. :oh yeah:

Waited for many years to see if Honda would get off it's dead ass and rejuvenate the venerable XX as Suzuki has this year with the Busa. Nope. They pussed out, and have apparently abandoned the hyper-bike category. The stopped selling them here in the States after 2003, and 2007 is the last year of worldwide production. No replacement anywhere on the horizon.

Right, then. Piss off, Honda, I made my decision:

http://www.superblackbird.com/HeavyBus/photos/Day1/Day1.jpg

Buying this Busa (first Suzuki I've owned) is a classic tale:

I had (seriously) just gone to my local Yamaha-Suzuki dealer to pick up a front turn-signal bulb for my FJR.

The dealership had just taken this baby outta the crate and wheeled it onto the showroom floor 10 minutes before I arrive to pick up the turn-signal bulb. 0.0 miles on the odometer. It hadn't even been entered in the store's inventory yet! Sold.

Holy fooking shit, people, I just wanted a bulb, really..... :head meets wall:

OK - I'm here.

No, I don't own an H'bus - I ride an LT - but I bet I put more miles on 'er in a week than most here do in a month.

So, where do I go to get my Big Stick?

I'm a rent-a-geek in meat space. Spend way too much time screwing around with things RF (160m through 70cm), and have a fondness for clumsy, flightless birds that represent Free Thought and the interchange of ideas without being hassled by the man.

And I like to get loaded.

Hey every one, my name is Kira (AKA Hayabusagirl). I live in Tampa, FL and just joined this site. I own a 2006 Blue/Grey Hayabusa and have put just a little over 10,000 miles on it within the last 11 months. Yes, it was a great Christmas gift to my self last year! Needless to say, I love to ride my Busa!

I'm looking for some ideas for a custom paint job for my bike. (Something that says it a woman's bike). Being a female owner of a Busa, it is so tyring hearing the same question asked... "Is this your bike?" After 12 years of riding and owning my own bikes, the question is always the same!

So, I need some ideas...And, No! I do not want a PINK Bike! LOL

And since we're all Busa and bike enthusiast I know I'll feel right at home .
Hey Tinmann8! Just joined this site yesterday and was reading through some of the intros....Noticed you're from Tampa. I just moved here from Orlando 2 months ago. Still getting familiar with my surroundings and always looking to add a few more friends that ride.

I have an 06 Blue/Grey Busa....Its got a little work done to it, but nothing major. Just stretched and lowered.

Message me if you're interested in taking a ride..

Welcome, when i was customizing my 02 busa over last winter, I wanted to go with the same rear end from M-DESIGN out of Germany? they make great body work kits, i bailed on the tail section due to the fact it required complete installation of a sub frame and tail section and adding a tail light etc.... your Hayabusa looks real good:thumbs up:

I had to have something that could keep up. Heavens knows....my little 750 Kat couldn't do it.! When my hubby started his site (www.busapower.com (http://www.busapower.com)) the Chief was kind enough to be one of his first supporters. So to all who read this, please help spread the word about BusaNation. I love my Busa. It's in my blood now...and it feels good. We just started adding things like a little chrome here and there. I'm having her extended 6 inches ...so she'll look like my husbands ride...minus an inch or two.

Gday all, New member to the site. Been riding all my life being a farm kid but have only been riding road bikes for about 3-4 years and loving every minute of it. Just purchased myself a 2008 Busa. As you can see i opted for the blue with the gold rims. Absolutely love it. Here are some pics of previous rides and current. First bike was a Race Replica Aprilia RS250. Next i had a Yellow Suzuki TL1000R which due to it's demise was the reason for the purchase of my new pride and joy. I some how managed to get both conrods to exit their corresponding barrels at speed(quite a nasty experience) what made it worse was i only just got it back on the road after a few months without it. I am a diesel fitter in the last few months of my apprenticeship. I love cars, bikes, guitar, computers and animals. Well that is pretty much me.

Hi everyone, My name is Chris. I am currently in process of buying a new Black and Grey 08. I currently ride an 03 YZF 600R and couldn't resist to upgrade when the GenII was introduced. The busa has been my dream bike since 99 and I have decided to make it come true this year. My wife is going to ride the YZF since it has been a great bike and she is ready to upgrade from her 99 250 Ninja (which is for sale if anyone is interested). We are from Guelph Ontario if anyone is interested in meeting up for a ride, we are always looking for new roads. Seems like you have a good community here, looking forward to being a part of it

I build off road racing cars for events like the Australian safari & im currently building a pro truck we brought as a roller from Ivan Stewart. Its the only one in oz so far & will be powered by a 6.0 alloy chev with all the goodies. Should go well as its fairly light. Dont think a busa engine would do the job !!

YEs, that 1/4 mile is addicting...most races are won in the first 60'...but with the b-king you probably can catch up to most if the start isn't htat great. Good luck,n strap her down.

I'm new to the site but have seen alot of familar bikes and faces. Tons of new ones too. My backround with bikes goes back about 26 years. I started when I was 14 with a '82 KX80, some 12 dirt bikes and 20 sport bikes later, I'm hooked on Hayabusas. Thanks to my parents overall dislike of bikes when I was young, all of the wrenching was done by me. Like a blessing now, their support was limited to a manual and parts, so I was mostly self taught. By trade I'm a general contractor, everything but stone and masonary. Jack of all trades, master of none,as they say.
Aug. of '06, I could finally afford a new Busa, It was Burg/Blk when I got it, mid way last season, I switched to all black. At the end of last season, I added a set of 81mm Wiseco 13:1 pistons and a dry 40 shot which I have yet to use. My main thing is drag racing, my best 1/8th is 6.27 @ 115, and my best 1/4 is 9.79 @ 142.89. This year I hope to hit mid 5's and mid 8's. looking forward to meeting others here. heres afew pictures of my bike (if I get it right posting them)

Hey everyone.. glad to be here. WARputer introduced me to this site and I really like what I've seen so far. I look forward to hanging out and talking it up with you guys.

Currently I ride an 06 silver and blue busa that is my baby. She is stock for the most part except for the bolt on Yoshi's and the front sprocket was replaced and taken down one tooth.

Anyways, back to the bike! I didn't pick up "Black Betty" until the 27th just before closing. Within 20 miles on the odometer, I had her torn apart in the garage, getting some stuff installed. I still have a few things to do, but they can wait until I get home again.

Anyways, here's some pics from 2 days after getting her home.
