There are several test and tune days scattered here and there, but the above are official race events that I have planned for.

I hope to make Union Grove's Tuesday Night Events.. They host a Womens's Only Bracket Series every Tues.. I did pretty good there last year considering I mostly was still trying to tune the lockup and you could never fully guarantee what I was gonna run LOL... best part is even though it's a test and tune night for everyone - women get in and race for free... can't beat that!

Quick Run down of my first passes ever on the new setup

First Pass: 11.8 (couldn't find drag pegs too far back, AMS was not turned on which meant no boost, Missed my shift points due to tire spinning and shift light on entire time - total botched run LOL)

Second Pass: 8.4 (still couldnt' find pegs, short shifted a couple times, and went from side to side entire length of track LOL)

Third Pass: 8.03 (changed AMS setting - track was not holding the larger amount of boost and moved my drag pegs up closer to me and removed toe sliders to give me better traction at the line to steady the bike while leaning forward)

Forth Pass: 8.20 (lot's of tire spin off the line and down the track and discovered my throttle housing kept spinning on me keeping me from getting to full throttle on my runs)

Fifth Pass: 8.27 (better 60 foot time than any other pass but wheelied mid track and somehow lost my windscreen ?? )

Ended the day with the 2nd Fasted ET out of about 40 bikes I think?

After changing out my throttle tube and kill switch housing and checking my clutch for possible adjustments I know I should be in the 7's next time out...

Thanks guys and gal

Sorry I ain't been back to this thread in forever... at times it seems my computer dont' like to connect here and I don't have internet at home (unless I get a freebie signal from next door like now LOL)

When I'm on line at work it's hard tobe on boards with dark colors too easy to get caught viewing something you're not suppose to :whistling:

But anyhow.. before I get booted off...

Update:

May 31st at Byron I wiped out at a test and tune.. Extreme traction and not the right suspension set up and a quick turn throttle were all ingredients for trouble... I was lucky enough to come out of it with only a broken finger.. BUT that broken finger required surgery and pins and two months later I still have no ability to use it like you normally would.

So I have been out of commission for the last two months.. until this past Wed... I attempted to make some runs trying to figure out how the heck I can pull in my clutch lever without the aid of my middle finger and without it getting inthe way... it took a few passes but I was starting to get the a routine going...

We took out all the boost settings and ran just on teh gate 8# to make sure my left hand could do what was needed before putting any boost to her. And ofcourse we adjusted the suspension

So the nitty gritty of it is as follow:

1st pass:
15 sec ET
couldn't shift the first two times I tried so I backed out and just cruzed down the track..

2nd pass:
60' - 1.967
330 - 4.473
1/8 - 6.447 @ 125mph
1000 - 8.149
1/4 - 9.605 @ 154mph

3rd pass:
60' - 1.928
330 - 4.388
1/8 - 6.306 @ 128mph
1000 - 7.966
1/4 - 9.396 @ 156mph
(after this pass Nem checked my clutch pack... feeling like I had trashed them with my two majorly slow launches and inability to shift... sure enough they were FRIED! the fibers were shreaded literally... that was it.. it was WIDE OPEN or not at all)

4th pass:
60' - 1.517
330 - 3.747
1/8 - 5.610 @ 131mph
1000 - 7.247
1/4 - 8.661 @ 158mph

5th pass:
60' - 1.464
330 - 3.696
1/8 - 5.562 @ 131mph
1000 - 7.199
1/4 - 8.613 @ 158mph

6th pass:
60' - 1.512
330 - 3.730
1/8 - 5.567 @ 134mph
1000 - 7.142
1/4 - 8.485 @ 167mph

7th pass:
60' - 1.484
330 - 3.672
1/8 - 5.510 @ 134mph
1000 - 7.077
1/4 - 8.406 @ 168mph

As for boost levels:
Passes 1 - 5 were all just off the Gate 8#
Pass 6 we put 2 # in 3rd and 5# in 4th
Pass 7 we put 4# in 3rd and 7# in 4th

I still have a ways to go to get my sixty's back down where they use to be low 1.4's

Here's a few clips from wed... it looks so slow motion heehehee..

also it appears I reverted back to my old habit of pullin my feet to the front pegs rather than the drag.. which I never thought would be possilbe with how close they were to the seat rails now after all the modding done.

From our place it would take about 2.5-3.0 hours to get there, and I was checking the weather the night before and in the morning hoping for a break for both Saturday and Sunday. i even had my folks on stand by to come over quick to get our kids.

F*ckn weather on radar showed crap here and over there.

So we will try again with on Sept 06-07.

Last night went to Union Grove to do some Test and Tuning to get things setup and ready for this weekend at US131 for Battle of the Bikes..

We bumped up the boost just a lil not much... still had to make sure my hand could do what it needed to do...

TRACTION SUCKED!

I was spinnin all down the track.. my kids did get videos but not very good ones.. I will get them posted up as soon as I get them off the camera.

Here's my runs:

RT .318
1.454
3.738
5.474 @ 142.45 mph
6.966
8.252 @ 175.88 mph
spinning spinning and more spinning LOL

RT .476
1.483
3.743
5.494 @ 142.29 mph
7.012
8.304 @ 180.32 mph
spinning spinning and more spinning LOL

RT .138
1.379
3.512
5.295 @ 138.24 mph
6.836
8.149 @ 176.47 mph
after more adjustments to reduce Boost and Tire PSI got some traction first half but still loosing it second half

next run was botched due to a blown fuse that was for my shifter button and dash.. aborted run but the launch felt good??

RT .178
1.383
3.734
5.554 @ 135.78 mph
7.117
8.446 @ 172.84 mph
launch felt good off the line but just past the tree the bike wheelied about a foot off the ground and being my first one since the wipeout it felt much higher to me and I got off the gas to bring it back down and got back on the gas to continue the run. After watchin the video and seeing how low it was I decided to try and wait it out a lil more if it occured again.. thinking maybe there was some traction found and these would be just lil power wheelies to be carried out.

RT .215
1.425
3.811
5.621 @ 137.76 mph
7.157
8.441 @ 182.85 mph
Again a wheelie just past the tree .. I waited this one out a lil bit longer but it kept climbing and again it felt more to me than it looked from the video this time about 1.5 feet off the ground.. I let off the gas and it came down a tad hard and off to the left enough to cause my side stand to make contact and sparks to fly. I stayed on the run.

After recounting how many passes we'd had on the clutch springs we felt we should have changed them just before the first wheelie pass... We haven't pulled them yet to look to see but at this time we feel the wheelies were due to the lock up not the track. So hopefully after taking them out tonight it will confirm this and I'll be back in motion for this weekend with a pretty decent setup to start with.

My 60's have never been in the 1.3's before that I can recall.. I think my best prior was 1.41 - THANK YOU NEM for helping me get back on track again http://www.suzukihayabusa.org/forum/Smileys/default/thumb.gif wish you could make US131 with me.... you're help will be missed :thumbs up:

Thanks to Nem's help I hit 7.99 today after a long weekend of yet more wheelie after wheelie..

Sat I had made 4 passes all wheelies all 8.55 runs... then Buz and Nem switched out my 8# spring on the Gate to a 5# because we couldn't take any more boost out of first as it was... and we'd done suspension, clutch, my launch style tons of variable that NONE made a difference.. finally last pass of the day after the spring change I made a pass where teh front stayed down.. dont' recall what happened during the rest of the run but it was still only like an 8.4 run...

my zip tie I put on the shock also showed I was bottoming out big time early on on Sat... after the adjustments it was only traveling about midway to 3/4.. seemed to be doing well...

nem busted his ass to put my new rear tire on and change out my spark plugs early sunday AM

Sunday started out great.. 8.03 first qualifying pass 8.09 second qualifying pass.. put me 3rd in the ladder (my sixty's were way down however 1.4-1.5's)

first round of eliminations my person I was suppose to line up with had hurt his motor so I ran alone.. dont' ahve my slip with me to look but it was a lil wheelie that I got off the gas and back on.

Nem checked my clutch stack height and it was off.. so had to rush to get that thrown back together...

went back up to line against Kent Stoz's kid... I had a decent chance if I ran an 8.0 again with a perfect tree... so I tried to not sleep on the tree along with remembering all the new stuff I had to do with preloading the clutch lever and launching at a softer rpm.. I didn't cut a good tree but way better than his LOL... his .4 to my .2 I was out of there BUT by mid track my bike lost boost and I slowed down so bad it was sicking he flew past me like I was sitten still... I didn't know what happened so I tried to stay on it and only got an 8.4 to his 7.8

turned out my up-pipe come apart and I lost all boost from 2nd or 3rd gear on...

I was out.. and he was dayum lucky cuz I had him with that tree leave and on a good run my sixty was in the 1.30's so it would have been a good number...

so Nem fixes my up-pipe and we manage to squeeze in one last run for the day and had a sweet launch wheel came up I short shifted and continued the run to get my 7.99 pass with a 1.38 sixty foot time.

My best sixty for the day was a 1.35

now if this setup would just work for all tracks I'd be set

THANK YOU NEM.... couldn't have done it without you.. and sorry your motor was hurt .... (if it wouldnt had been for his not racing I dont' think we'd been able to get the wheelie problem fixed this weekend for me to see the 7's) - it took ALOT of his time and energy to get my bike situated

Thanks Buz for your help as well and CONGRATS on your 7.8 pass

E.
and no there was no video of any of our runs this weekend.. we were all busy with racing that nobody got any footage.

Me too...who wouldn't want to see the first woman to run a 7-second pass in Canada!?!!? I would have to say it would be the first time a woman on a motorcycle has ever been that quick on Canadian soil, Pro Street or otherwise!!!

Not puttin' any pressure on ya E... :oh yeah: It would be cool though...

Sweet deal... I wondered what was the quickest ET for a female in Canada... I know the guys seemed quite surprised when I did the 8.3 that sat and it was just right out of the trailer no adjustments yet for the track..

with the right help and conditions I'm confident I'll see the 7's not sure if it will be in qualifying or first round or two of eliminations however... but I'm sure it will happen...

See ya there bud!

Hey E I spoke too soon, I forgot that Angelle came to Canada back in the late 90's and ran a match race with Paul Gast....she ran a 7.5 and maybe even a 7.4...

So you'll have to accept the title of fastest no-bar woman on Canadian turf for now...

no worries... at this rate I'll be lucky to make another pass in Canada :umm: seems this years event is conflicting with one of my local series... so it's questionable if I'm gonna make it or not
