Got my "stubby" slip-ons installed, and asked the guy at the dealer if my bike needed remapped - he said "no". Just want to make sure that is correct, cuz I don't want to do anything to harm my girl. What's the general consensus here? Anyone been down this road?

As always - any & all input is greatly appreciated!! :thumbs up:

looks great:cheers: as for re-mapping your K8, you dont need to however for tuning purposes you can get your genII tuned to run better and find some extra HP, IMO i think the 08 ECU is the shit!:not worthy: i m running an aftermarket exhaust and I did not re-map it and Have had no issues

This weekend I got to hear an 08 with shorties in person for the first time. 4 letters sum it up: OMFG!

This kid's looked like not much more than rolled edge chrome ricer tips for a Civic, but damn did they sound good! I would have to say that they are the closest sound a sportbike has ever made to that classic 5.0 Mustang growl.

There was a crowd of people standing around when the kid ran it for me. They were some hillbillies in Harley jackets all talking about "That's too much bike... nobody needs that much HP..." until the kid started up his bike. Then all they could talk about was how good it sounded. The whole crowd was all ooohs and aaahs.

I'm now on a mad search for the best price on a set of shorties! :)

Are there any issues with those contacting the kickstand? They look nice... any kind of warranty? (on chrome pitting or what-not?)
