What's your favorite food and what do U absolutely hate ?

I was sitting here eating some of the wifes awful cooking and thought this might be an interesting thread to start .:oh yeah:

Favorite : A tie between cheeseburgers and boiled peanuts

Hate : Another tie between tomatoes and liver

Love: Swedish Fish (Candy)

Hate: Food that the general populous would normally bury or throw away. (ie. Dishes made from blood, organs, glands, you get the picture.)

Favourite: Serbian specialty that translates into "Black George's Schnitzel" (*) It's a rolled up schnitzel filled with bacon, prosciutto, kashkaval cheese (sheep's milk cheddar), breaded (with eggs) and deep-fried.
Hate: Just about every sweetened entree (except for ribs with JD sauce).

Any time you're up in Toronto.. Unfortunately these schnitzels will be put on hold over the summer and the kashkaval/prosciutto will be added to a 50/50 mix of ground beef and pork and bbq'd over some mesquite chips :D

likes: damn near anything. Love a good steak (strip typically or porterhouse). Love a good bottle of wine, starting to get more into beers... Jerky (damn near all kinds) a nicely done bacon cheese burger. good potato or french onion soup (benigans FTW). FRESH tuna steaks, as in I just caught the fuckers not more than 5 hrs ago. I tend to put away damn near anything.

Hates: ehh, cottage cheese, texture thing. Black pudding.... just, no. I'm otherwise not really a fish person...raw onions. I love 'em cooked, or in onion rings, but hate 'em raw.

Silken Tofu aint *too* bad. I could tollerate it at least. Dated an "almost there" vegiterian before.


Yeah... my fiancee's a beefeater (wink wink) and I'm sure as hell happy about that.



Ginger is good, but if it's not overdone. What I love is taking carrots, putting some ginger root and brown sugar (and a bit of water) and putting 'em in the oven for a while. I also have a helluva good marinade that involves ginger (best w/ filets though).
