I have a 2008 Hayabusa. I am looking for 4 into 1 exhaust that isnt too loud but performs really well.
Is carbin fibor the way to go or does it burn out in a year or so.
M4 seams to be a liitle bit louder than the yosh pipes. These are the only 2 that I have looked at so far.
Can anyone make some recomandations

Tiforce 4-2-1 or Yoshimura R-77 or Tsukigi Cannon all great options for street pipes.

Do a search here, we have sound clips on this site with the exhaust, as for K&N, the new deal is pipercross out of the UK, Greg(HPC) just shipped me one for $80 shipped:thumbs up: the pipercross is claiming 2-3 HP the filter alone:oh yeah:

Concur. The big enemy of CF (over the long haul) is heat.
However, it was a bigger problem 5-10 years ago, than it is today.
Still, even Yoshimura advises in their documentation to not put an all-CF canister on the dyno for extended periods. Kinda surprised me when I read this in my Yosh 4-2-1 R77 paperwork, but it doesn't impact me at all, since I have no intentions to install a PC-III and dyno it. I wasn't really after additional power with this Yosh setup, as much as I was after losing the mega-poundage of the stock exhaust.
The Yosh R-77 canister is not overly loud at all, if you leave the sound baffle installed). Even if you take the baffle out, it's still not very obnoxious, though it will get noticeably louder over time as the packing wears away
I like mine real well..... :thumbs up:

Dyno graph from Yoshimura R&D.... interesting power and torque jump between 4200 and 6800 RPM...... :thumbs up:
