This is from a VMax list I am on....

08 busa at drag strip tonight 1/8 mile, The bike had woods full
pipe, power programmer and that is all. It dynoed at 194 hp and 124 tq
before they brought it to the track. The bike ran consistent 5.90 with
the slowest of a 6.0 only once. The mph at traps was 124
mph!!!!!!!!!!!. Stock length, only lower by lowering in triples and
strapping down and he lowered the back. The ZX1400 is done now.
The weight of the rider is exactly 165 lbs,(been racing with this guy
awhile how i know)Wow it dynoed about 10 more hp then what I thought
it would with pipe and all, this thing is bad

which: 1/4 mile= 1620 ft:whistling: = the best dyno in the world= take it to the track
i am still lost .
there is 1.60 km to a mile
so the 1/4 mile ( what we call it in australia) is 400metres .
400 metres (1/4 mile) is what our drag strips are.

Not all PATRIOT I have been to a couple of 1/8th mile(200m) tracks. First one i went to i didn't know it was and wondered why they were so damn quick.

You are correct....

1/4-mile = 1,320ft. = 402 meters

1/8-mile = 660ft. = 201 meters

There are other tracks that are 900 and 800 feet also but they are pretty rare. It pretty much boils down to how much money the track owner has to pave. That's how long the track will be... ;)

Sounds right for a AMA Dragbike rider on a stock swingarm or a good daily rider on an extended one.

I'm not too good with 1/8 comparisons .....everyone around here runs the 1/4 mile.

Seems 6.50's bonestock at stock high is the norm. Anything lowered with mods 6.00 or quicker is moving...
