Wassup yall, Busa nation Newbie here!,
I have an 06 limited with no engine work. I installed the dual yosh r22Bling cans, and I think they are way to quiet. They are slip ons, but I would have thought through past experiance, they would have been louder than they are. Has anyone else used them, and what was your experiance with them?

I akm going to sell them I think and go with a full exhaust setup. Whats the best for the Busa? I am a street rider only.

This is a tuff question, in the end its what you want performance vs. looks vs. sound etc.........

How long ago did you install the Yosh R-22 cans? Somewhat recently - last year or so?

I ask because it's my understanding that Yoshimura has recently (last year or so) started shipping every single canister they sell with a "dB Killer" baffle insert, which really tones down the noise a fair amount. They are doing this to be socially responsible in the face of ever-increasing Noise regulations. HOWEVER, every baffle insert is easily removable - usually only one socket-head fastener is involved.

So......

If, by chance, you unknowingly have these baffle inserts still installed in the canisters, this might account for your complaint of the pipes being a little too quiet. Pull 'em out, and see if you like the sound better.

Of course, if you already have them out and it's still too quiet for you, well...... try some D&D's, which are painfully, obnoxiously loud, especially after 5000 or so miles of use.... :whistling:

Welcome 06 !! We have a bunch of videos of Busa's running in our Exhaust forum and some in the GenII forum too . Check 'em out. As for me , the Yoshi's have always seemed be built more for a good tone but at a lower decibel. :oh yeah:

My R22's had db killers fitted, they are a pain to remove as they are spot welded on the allan screws so that has to be broke and then the best way to remove them is take the slip on off and tap them out with a bit of wood and a hammer hitting from the slip on end and comming out the tail piece.

thay sound nice with um removed.
