I ordered the Yosh R-77 carbonfiber 4 into 1 which should be in today...cant wait... However I was speaking with one of the local mechanics here and he is stating with the 08 busa it has a o2 sensor that will automatically adjust to the headers.....Anyone know if this is true???:umm:

What the tech is alluding to is largely correct. The closed-loop EFI system on the K8 (with the O2 sensor connected) does an amazing job of keeping the Air/Fuel ratio close to optimal even when swapping out the entire exhaust system.

A well-known, well-respected dyno tuner on the east coast has determined that, on a K8 with the Yosh 4-2-1 R-77 set-up installed, the best he could obtain upon installing/tuning a PC-IIIusb was an additional 2 hp gain. Which, for all practical street-riding purposes, isn't dick.

Bottom line: if you're taking your K8 to the track or dragstrip and need every possible advantage, then maybe a PC-IIIusb with hours of dyno time might be justified. For general street-riding/touring on your K8, all a PC-III really buys you is pouser points, IMO.

However, there are a ton of money-grubbing tuners who will be quick to tell you that you need to install a PC-III on your K8, and will be happy to sell you one.
