I am up north and April and May we get a lot of rain, drenched and on my GenI i had to use the fast idle in these wet cold conditions jus tto get the busa to start and stay @ 1000-1500 rpms to get up to operating temperature. now with the K8 Hayabusa and No fast idle, is this going to be a problem up here in this colder wet climate to get the GenII to even start?:head meets wall: very cool nites here as well, temps can drop over nite making the next morning start up very difficult. Sept and Oct for the fall even worse. I am just trying to anticiapte any issues that may cause me so me major headaches. I have no garage which is worse and just cover the busa up and lock it down and armed with a scorpio i500 alarm which drains the batttery even more. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly apprieciated.

The fact that the fast idle lever has been ommitted infers that an auto choke system is in it's place. If this is so then I wouldn't worry about it. The ecu will select the idle setting and fuelling appropriate to the conditions / temps.

I live in New England and my bike is in a cold garage in the winter months,15 to 35 degrees Farenhiet,I start my 08 alot in these cold temps and haven't had a problem yet,I also keep a battery tender connected at all times.

When it's really cold out (below 30 degrees), I am starting the K8 for the first time that day, I've had the bike stall out once or twice before the "fast idle" kicked in.
If it's a good 45+ degrees F outside, the bike fires up fine, and idles fine.
